@TexasJuggernaut yes it is, it's a very nice pistol and recently I saw a couple for sale.at the gun show in Dallas for 700 and at those prices it's absolutely worth every penny.

@arkzgun would it be thicker than let's say a glock 19 or compared to it, sorry we don't have one locally and I can get one for a pretty good deal I think

@TexasJuggernaut definitely is much thicker than your glock 19, if you upgraded the grips to the slim version you will get some reduction, but naturally most 2011s are pretty thick due to the type of mags. The new staccato CS and and those models are very slim.

Glad you're happy with yours and you worked out the mags. Good quick review. You can find mags sub $35-$40. RIA/ACT (factory), and Mec-Gar. The mags are based on the Para P18 9mm type. Advanced Tactical is the RIA shopfront. Good place to start for parts: 1911 A2 grips, mags holsters, etc. Ammo Supply Warehouse also has mags and other parts. Search key words: "RIA Tac Ultra FS 1911 Magazine 9mm 17 rounds". I know what a mouthful lol. Not trying to sell you on it. Just seems like you're worrying over nothing. My buddy has two RIA 1911 double stack pistols: one in 9mm, and the other in 22TCM. They use the same mags. But be mindful if you need the baseplate model for an extended magwell. You can also buy the factory plastic basepad $7.95, or Dawson Precision aluminum extensions $20. I helped him find mags as above. He order them in no problem. "Seek and ye shall find".

Hello. I got my barrel from PPM and my slide is getting stuck when chambered. I looked at one of my old barrels from PPM and at the end of the hood it is not beveled. It s yours beveled. Thanks.

If you haven’t by now or haven’t started experiencing rust under the optic, tape ur slide up with painters tape(down in the rear serrations and all) and spray yourself 2 light coats of Rustoleum over that optic cut…… seen ttttooooonnnsss of ppl online complaining about going the route of cold bluing an optic cut on a factory(carbon steel) Glock slide and it starting to rust over time from concealed carry and sweat working its way around the optic and/or just the gun sitting in such a muggy/humid area against their body especially during the summer time

The mags issue is the ONLY reason why I have not purchased this pistol yet, I wish they would give you two high capacity mags when ordering this pistol. Good review, thanks for posting.

@ I agree… you can also buy Taylor freelance baseplates for plus 4 but they’re a little more pricey. Though, all of this is available right now

Is the staccato C2 magazine and bul armory UL mag WIDTH the same roughly? Im having a hard time finding a AIWB mag carrier and I might just get a stacatto one but don't know the width. Not sure if the UL mag is more like a C2 or a CS.
