you can use DC TO DC converter(you should use dumb ones without BMS) to charge the power station with the solar plug, convert the 14.4volt from the car to 24 volt and plug it into solar, very easy charging while driving. replaced my dual battery inverter setup with similar unit. This way is LOT LOT faster than cig ligher plug , easily 200watt+ charging vs the 85Watt cig lighter provides. you will need XT60i SOLAR charging cable (CIG cable DOES NOT WORK) and use it to wire the DC to DC converter to the solar input on the unit (this simulates solar charging) and volia 200watt+ charging from vehicle

I don’t get it. I’ve seen the 6.0 L engines go for 300,000 miles. But when I bought my hummer year ago, it had a slight tick in it. The salesman told me it was a lifter and that it would clear up. Well, a year later, that tech turned out to be a main bearing. My HUMMER is knocking BADLY. For a while, it sounded just like the one in this video. Why do some of these motors last for 300,000 miles and others developed Rod Knox between 150 and 180k miles?? Doesn’t the computer keep them from being over revved? Anyway, good luck on the new motor. 450 hp sounds like a lot of fun! Happy wheeling
@TheUnexpectedOffRoad
@TheUnexpectedOffRoad 15 күн бұрын
@@dennisrowe3860 yeah it does not make much sense how some 6.0L can go 300,000 miles and others go sooner, i believe the oil pump was worn low oil pressure damaged the bearings in my motor, I also drive my truck very hard so that may have also added to the shorter engine life, yes the engine does have a rev limiter in the computer

Most likely the oil pump pickup tube O-ring, or the pump itself.
@TheUnexpectedOffRoad

Yeah that's possible, pump is definitely worn, and I'm sure the camshaft is worn to I got lifter noise to, I'll have to tear the motor down to see what happened

Well I think I'm going to get a built GM Performance crate engine, it's most likely the oil pump is worn causing damage to the engine, especially on cold startups, I'll have to tear down the motor to see for sure where it went wrong

In my one time driving a Humvee in the USMC, I learned it has open diffs. The way to counteract it and get the cheapest locked diff was to ride the brakes while adding throttle. It worked evey single time. That is the only time I drove one in my life, and I was thoroughly impressed with its ability to crawl over stuff with such a low suspension travel forcing it to have 1 or 2 wheels off the ground. Let your Hummer buddies know this BEFORE they get stuck and you might save the day, not to mention a winch rope, too.
@TheUnexpectedOffRoad
@TheUnexpectedOffRoad 7 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for your service in the USMC!!! Humvees are an awesome machine you are definitely correct about riding the brakes to transfer the power, it's possible he was not riding the brakes hard enough, yes saving the winch lone for another day is a good thing to!! We had such a fun day out on the trail that day even getting stuck on the rocks!!!
