Stakker Humanoid (1988) paved the way for these 90's dance tunes. That was the breakthrough moment where many people were hearing music like this for the very first time.

i met Richie once, early 90s and also Martin who i see in a studio in essex , both really down to earth real loverly geezers and both very Talented, i loved this tune ever since it was released, was the best and still is one of the greatest dance treks ever such a classic.

This is a fascinating insight from Richie Malone into this choon. I'm very familiar with the orignal version with Lizzie's vocals. Most of the time, the orignal is the best.

Did this guy actually write the track, or was it a ghost producer working in the studio at the time?

As a kid at 10 years old in '91 I still remember how good this track sounded on LA radio. Still one of my favorites of that era and forever in my head. 💘

Thanks for this upload! I wish there were hundreds of interviews like this, so much of the early scene remains undocumented.

What a classic track! He said that Lizzy D sang the vocal. Does he mean just to hear how it sounded with the vocal because as far as I’m aware Sally Anne Marsh did the vocal on the record. She had previously been in a short lived band called Faith Hope & Charity with Dani Behr. If it’s not broken don’t fix it, the original is the best no matter who actually sang in the song.
