If Danny were still alive if I were a director, I’d would’ve wanted to give his permission to adapt his forgotten piece of The World of Jimmy Callicut. And I would be given an opportunity to cast Philip Quest (aka known as Javert in Les Misérables and Judge Turpin in Sweeney Todd) as the school teacher, because I can totally hear his baritone voice in this song.

To the people who say this is just the sped up version of the one on the album, it is faster but there are parts on this recording that aren’t on the album. So it’s not that, what I think it is, is either a demo or a Alt/Early take.

Oooh I love the dry cardboard box drum sound! I’m being totally serious, it works great for certain genres of music including this post punk/new wave type stuff.

This doesn't seem to be a demo, if you slow it down to 0.90x it sounds beat-for-beat like the album version, it is probably that version after years of copying from one tape to another. Still, this song sounds neat sped up!

I feel like they could be rough mixes. The backing vocals in Whole Day Off are absent, and Why'd We Come is missing its monologue intro; both songs also contain a 'drumstick warm-up', which is fairly characteristic of roughs.
