Two weeks ago my wife received message from a person claiming to be Mrs Kathleen Taylor a executive of RBC Bank in Canada. Of course it was not real Kathleen who really exist. Very rich man died and left 78 million dollars five years ago and he did not have any children and relatives and I share same surname with him which is very unique . That man is originally from my native Bosnia and Herzegovina. So I was offered a deal with person claiming to be Mrs Kathleen so we share 50:50 78 million US dollars. Scammers sent documents that looked very well made. I played for a while and they tried to convince me that there was no any risk and that I can get 39 millions US dollars and become rich. I just had to pay 3625 US dollars as a some expenses for barrister so he can represent me in Supreme Court. Fraudsters tried to convince me that my chances on the court are great and then I had enough and sent them message to piss of. Those criminals targeting older naive people. I have to say that fraudsters have become very skilled and people have to be very careful. And I do not know if Mrs Kathleen Taylor knows that her identity was stolen and used for these scams

Lucky for me I am not greedy. Money just causes a lot of issues & worlds problems. Also the route of all evil. Look at vegas. All those games are rigged.. Someone approached me back in november 2022. Telling me I was on the facebook Jackpot promotion List. WHen there is no such thing. Then she claimed she got $150 K from them. I said to them it is a scam right away. Just be aware if it involves money Most likely a scam.

About a year or 2 ago I met a woman who we assumed was kin to the Wyatts from my Husband's side of the Family she said she knew some Wyatts and come to find out she said this guy may of been related to us I mentioned it to ether y Husband or his Dad and then they said no relation and she said it didn't matter if we're kin to them or not that we were supposed to be the next peopled to get money so I figured it was a Scam so I blocked her

So does having ANY of your information online, increase identity theft, not decreases it like red flag rules likes to claim. Anything can be hacked, I don't care how well encrypted. Now I am not getting medical care because I refuse to let anyone put take my photo ID and let them put my information online, because of the reason stated above. From what I understand about the red flag rules, it doe not require a photo ID or for your information to be put out there in cyberspace where anyone who is smart enough, can get at it. If that is indeed the case, then what is my solution? Do i threaten to sue such doctors that won't treat me if I don't let them scan my photo ID, or what?

This is lame and not clever. Asking someone for a wallet or purse in this context shares no similarities to an average / real world experience. Also, this is all common sense and I totally disagree that most people are 'all-trusting' and would argue the bulk of people in face to face situations are over protective.

Yeah its been a big problem. But now there is 256 bit encryption. I supply social powered wifi hotspots that are the only in teh world with the encryption.

Simple solution: tin foil. Make a card case or line your wallet but don't line bags because you can be charged with intent to steal as this can block product security tags.
