I was so pumped to see Hamilton, but I was disappointed, Hamilton, good politician, not good person, husband or father, married one sister but was in love with her sister and had deeper connection, and cheated on his wife and was absent father, first heart break was the affairs, second was their son death in duel, and then his death the same way, and the songs are sung too fast to understand, and leave the show hearbroken, no one gets a happy ending

I´m sorry to hear this, and I´m glad you´re alright. Also, I hope it´s ok for me to say this, but I was hoping you would react to the third show in the Hatchetfield series, Nerdy Prudes Must Die. And maybe Spies Are Forever from TCB, which is spectacular, and I think you haven´t seen yet. Just a couple suggestions. ☺

I was curious to watch it acouple days ago but backed out, it felt wrong. I watched the show with my daughter who will be 27yrs old this year and also I was in a tragic drowning accident as a teenager so Naya's passing felt extra personal to me. Glee has a special place in my heart and the tragedies make us curious but yeah, the documentary feels wrong to me.

Hello, Marissa is not really a social media person based on one of her friends (and I am not a stalker I swear). That is why we couldn't see any huge info about her online. I believe she only posts in her IG once every year before (she's not really active like super) but she and hannah has a really good relationship (as far as I know) I saw Marissa from Hannah's few IG vids and I am really happy for both of them. Those vids were pre pandemic so I don't really have much info of her now. Even tiktok cannot find her. I hope she's happy and living her best life reaching her dreams! <3

I've been a big fan of his for a while and I do think you have every right to be frustrated! I don't think he shut you up on purpose, he just didn't hear what anyone had said, but he SHOULD have listened. He's a good guy and I feel like if he had actually listened he wouldn't have ignored it at all, it's just really really annoying that he didn't listen. Whenever he interacts with fans or posts on social media there always seems to be some kind of fuck up, he has a tendency to be impulsive and it leaves a lot to be desired. That being said I really hope you're okay and I'm glad your fiancée got a lovely happy birthday from him!

Important story, thanks Amy. It's funny, i know 2 people who went to moutview, 1 the ba, 1 the ma. While both are insanely talented, they are both quite arrogant 😂, but both are working mt performers. lsm seems more of a friendly vibe and i know lots of people who have gone to lsm and done well. Very late to this video but I just had to say - there IS a Theatre Mode for Apple Watches !!! Like it is literally called “Theatre Mode” and has the classic double mask icon! (And it has existed since 2017…) It keeps the screen dark unless you press the button and gives notifications only with a small haptic buzz on the wrist that is totally inaudible.

I'm so sorry this happened to you! I don't think you're being a brat for what you're saying. I agree 100% with you. Especially about Darren making his fans wait 1 hour outside. At first, I thought he would stage door/doing his little speech on his way home but no, from the video it seems like after the speech he went right back in the theater? So why did he make you guys wait all that time outside when he knew you were waiting for him and that it was cold? He could have popped out immediately and it would have been easier for everyone. He definitely could have handle it better. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed you're trip and I can't wait to watch your videos about it. Lately, after the video about you going to see the show that the people in front of you choose showed up on my homepage again, I've been rewatching a lot of your videos (especially since I need something to listen to while I work out or I get bored lol) and I hadn't realized how much I missed them! Since covid, I had actually fallen a bit out of love with musicals, but now I feel I'm back on that train lmao Also, you're just hilarious!

YEARS ago I was watching a Starkid livestream, and Darren was taking requests for songs to play on his guitar. Another member (Denise) was on facetime on Lauren's(?) tablet and asks for "MMM Bop", and he totally ignored *everything* she was saying. I requested MMM Bop in the chat and he acted like my request was cool and not something already suggested. Idk. It made me feel weird.

I stopped stage-dooring the summer that I interned for a prominent casting director. I saw Tony winners, Oscar nominees, and just very well-known people come into the office, sign in, and wait in the lobby, and that's when it dawned on me: these are just artists who have bills to pay, and they're just looking for the next gig.

I never watched a Starkid production until a month ago and discovered Nerdy Prudes Must Die. I was intrigued by a horror musical and immediately loved it. I have since watched the Hatchetfield series and loved it. I genuinely feel like they each get better as they go along. NPMD soundtrack is still on repeat. However I really love Black Friday for different reasons. It quite different and a bit depressing and I think it’s a bit grungy which is totally me. I can’t wait to watch the whole series again.

You’re not a spoiled Brat, for wanting a slightly better experience and I’m sorry this happened to you! I don’t think he heard what you guys were saying cause I think he’d have said something if he did! At The London concert we all waited at stage door and he sent the security guard out to tell us that he had a really long flight and had to get ready for his evening show but he really appreciated us coming and he could hear us and stuff like that. I just think you caught him on a bad night cause all the others he came out pretty much straight away as far as I’m aware cause I can’t speak from experience 🤷‍♀️ i also think people (not saying you) forget that when Darren did musicals before he didn’t have a child and a pregnant wife he had to get back home to so he was probably getting everything ready to go home not just messing about talking backstage. However there definitely should’ve been security and maybe Darren could’ve come out earlier but I don’t think anything he did was meant to make anyone feel underappreciated 🤷‍♀️❤

Honestly. The New plastics i think would get bullied in highschool. They arent as psychologically mean. Regina is verbally mean in the new one. Not manipulative. I wouldve looked at them like oh. They like pink? I guess… I also think the offensive jokes is what MADE the movie good. It gave it kinda shock value and its funny. Even tho Ms. Tina got backlash from it…and that “comedians cant make the same joke twice” even tho they did do some of the same jokes..even tho they arent funny? They left in non-funny jokes and took out the good jokes. Same with the songs. Left in bad lyrics from the musical and took out good songs .

Completely agree that steps should be taken to not leave people waiting outside for too long. However, I don’t think theatres have obligations to provide security for stage door experiences. As stated, it’s not part of the ticket and that isn’t what security is being compensated for. Choosing to do it comes with informed risks. Whilst the response to handing over a gift may come across as harsh, in the dangerous parasocial world we live in, the idea of handing an item to pass on to a celebrity without pre-agreement is also questionable. I’m not particularly a fan of stage dooring when it comes to well known figures in general. For me, the best forum for these individuals is conventions, where there is mutual agreement and awareness of what is being purchased and what should be provided. And also less pressure and assumed obligation on the celebrity. Although, there will always be the people who cross boundaries even there.

also on the delivery for Darren I understand that it probably comes across personally based on the way the person said it but that absolutely is a safety issue. They don’t know you and for all they know you could be handing in something harmful. Obviously you weren’t, but actors often will have experiences with stalkers and they need to be careful.
@hannahodonnell2490
@hannahodonnell2490 Ай бұрын
so this might not be popular, but I think that it’s not the responsibility of the theatre or the actors to make sure that fans are safe at stage door. Stage door is not encouraged, it’s not part of your ticket price - when people go to stage door they do so at their own risk and it’s not on the actors to come out quicker so fans can go home. no one is entitled to a stage door experience or a hello from their favourite actor.

i don’t like how you are only liking comments criticising Darren. He didn’t know you were harassed. Obviously he is going to come and hang with his family and friends that came to see him first. they are his close circle his REAL friends. as much as you all don’t like it, you are all just fans and he did show up and said how grateful he was for all of us to come from different cities and countries. i didn’t see it as self congratulatory, he was empathetic as he always is, he doesn’t owe you any of his time and nobody forced you all to apologize after saying you were harassed. he clearly didn’t understand what happened. you all just waited out in the cold because you wanted to, nobody forced you. I know it seems like i’m kissing his a** but people always egg on celebrities when they have real problems, you make his as much of a spectacle as he objectively sees you all as just a number. he in entitled to his privacy just as anybody else in this world.

I had a similar experience at a West End show (I'm not going to say which one though). Fortunately there was no harassment, but we spent at least an hour in the cold and only then did the FOH came out and said everyone already left. By no means I think we were entitled to meet anyone, but I think the cast knew there would be people waiting and I also think they could've said to the FOH they were leaving through a different door immediately after the show ended. As for the security at the stage door I do think it would definitely be good if the theatre also considered the safety of the fans, not just the cast and crew especially if they knew how wild it can get. To give an example, let's say Sweeney Todd on Broadway. I've never been there in person, but I have friends who have. A lot of people wait there because of Joe Locke from Heartstopper, but he stopped stagedooring after about a week because the crowd was so insane it scared the hell out of him and even the people waiting there said it is quite scary, let alone when someone like you just mentioned decides to randomly add themselves into the mix.

I don't personally think it's the theater's responsibility to police the streets of NYC, however, I didn't love how Darren remarked that there were so few people and then the second someone responds to explain that they were harassed he just cuts them off. I understand that his intention was to keep it brief but he could've done a quick "Oh no! I'm really sorry to hear that! Glad you're okay!" before diving into his spiel. Just a little empathy can go a long way.

I don’t think you’re an entitled brat at all. I think this is 100% on the theater and not at all on darrin honestly. Imagine being exhausted, it’s cold, you’ve had crazy fans in the past, and you just need a second to yourself before going out and facing more people. Then you pop you head out and a bunch of people start talking. He probably didn’t hear what she said, just that she was talking. I think it was a perfect storm of unfortunate events for everyone honestly. And that someone from him team laughed at you for trying to drop something off is shitty. It makes sense not taking things from fans. Especially when you’ve got a fan base like his where it’s not just theater people who typically know how to behave (sometimes) but also general audiences that don’t always know all the rules and etiquette. But whoever laugh at you is just an ass. But as for the theater, they should have 100% made sure that the stage door was safe for you guys. There’s no reason for them to neglect that at all.

I have worked in professional theatre as a guardian for children. Have you considered writing an email addressed to the stagedoor security reporting the incident? Just for the sake of future safety? They may be able to address some of your concerns. Based on this evening's experience they may address the post stagedoor processes in the future.

I was waiting outside the Harold Pinter for 45 minutes waiting for Lily James after Lyonesse, all for security to say everyone had gone home. I know they don't have to stage door and I respect that, but it would've been nice for her to tell security that when we all arrived instead of making us wait 45 mins in the cold to be told she's gone home. Surely performers know from when they leave the stage whether they're going to stage door, so it would be nice for them to pass that on so we're not just waiting absolutely ages for no reason!
