It's about time Amtrak start using the the new Siemens pulling superliners I would love to see one come down Dallas Texas

I used to live in Norman, OK. The Heartland Flyer service (which uses ancient equipment) stops in Norman. It would be better if chargers were used bc they produce less pollution, along with newer superliners/venture coaches.

I really love the Metra UPN. My dad used to take me on there when i was a teenager coming from Winnetka to Downtown Chicago. Sometimes I would take it to Downtown Evanston sometimes or pace bus route 213.

Galewood is a neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois that is situated along a former Milwaukee Road railroad line to Omaha, Nebraska. This line is now operated by Metra with Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway (formerly known as simply Canadian Pacific and between 1986 and 1990 as the Soo Line Railroad) freight trains having access to this commuter rail line via trackage rights.

Is this Rondout, New York or Rondout, Illinois?
@jeffreyhall53077 ай бұрын
Southeast bound. Northwest goes thru around dark. Later, if something happens in Chicago. Didn't say what, but weren't going to just turn the southeast one around and send it back. Got testy when I implied that since SE was ontime, we could use it.

It seems to me that there was a train station near this location. We were about 13 or 14. My friend Mike and I went to the train station to watch the trains, specifically Amtrak. Mike parked his bike on the platform a little too close to the tracks. The Amtrak went speeding by and nearly sucked his bike into the train. He reached out and grabbed it. So, so close to being pulled in. He managed to recover his bike unharmed. Scary stuff.

Great video! Love the P5A on the first Metra, and that regional Amtrak was flying! That last clip, man the sounds brought back memories of the glory days on the Surfline here in Cali. Gotta visit Rondout on one of my trips to the Midwest. Thanks for sharing!
