Thank you so much for these videos. I tend to go down a rabbit hole when viewing or learning about historical events and periods. I have been given the chance to walk the Boeing Wichita property, with each step I take, I want to learn more, and see more pictures of what a place this was in its original state, and when it was at its most popular time. Thank you again for the videos.

I've been gone from Wichita for 45 years now. Yes, according to relatives Wichita was an all-out boom town during the war. I've been all over the world and I'm still proud to say I'm from Wichita. Great place to grow up. I was born in 1952. and went to North High and graduated from WSU.

Hi Deke. Very very interesting The history of the Electric guitarr & his early players. One question. Do you know what the rythem guitarist of the Trasman " Surfin' Bird " whas playing on the original record?. I guess is a Fender Stratocaster. I am right or wrong???. Keep picking.

It'd be really BOSS if you could make this available as a slideshow with narration in the PowerPoint or Slides format. I'd show it to my students (I teach music production)...

I had 2 rare ViviTones, they are at Bernunzio's in Rochester NY, a circa 1935 Electric mandolin and a circa 35 Mint Dark Cremona finished acoustic guitar-the only super dark one I've seen!

Myself and another guitar player friend of mine who grew up in Alaska, when we were kids and taking lessons at a music store called the Anchorage House of Music, both remember seeing a bigsby guitar in the store in the used guitar rack from about 1965 till about 66 or 67. I swear it said Travis on the pickguard though. I'm wondering if it could be the very same guitar. How many Bigsbys could have been in Alaska after all ? Maybe Merle Travis was in Anchorage an needed cash ? My E mail address

As a lifetime Wichita resident who just happens to be pretty well versed in Wichita history, this fills in a lot of gaps in my knowledge. I grew up flying as early as 1955 with my father. He used to hanger his plane on the north side of central across the street from Beechcraft. I wish I was there for this lecture I would of loved it.

This is great presentation about Lloyd Loar and Vivi Tone. As a published guitar historian and a speaker in my profession this information about Loar and Vivi tone has never been presented or discussed in this detail. I'm only at 30 min in. I'll get back when I finish watching your presentation.

Excellent video and history telling. 39:54 "the only real type R that exists..." I'm thinking Pancho's Type R, which is being restored in the UK, is from the original R613K airframe. So maybe there are two!

I didn't realize that Carvin and Rickenbacker had any kind of association in the past. Very intersting, considering that both companies are still family owned and have similar factories. Carvin being a factoey direct and Rickenbacker using the standard distribution channels. Thanks for sharing this!

Hi there Jack! I live in Stillwater, OK and wanted to let you know that a lady from Wichita was in my girlfriend's bookstore and bought a set of hat earrings. Well, they started talking about hats and your name came up real quick. I wanted to let you know that I have been looking for a nicely made fedora for some time now and we will be coming up there in a few weeks time. Keep up the good work and your shop is amazing!
