1978? It sounds too modern, even artificial, especially the drums. Nowadays you can create sounds that are deceptively real... I know what I'm talking about, I've been a musician myself for many years. That's not to say that Wilbur can't play something like that, quite the opposite! I'm a big fan of his!!! But I think it's artificial, I'm sorry. Wilbur's bass doesn't "talk" or "growl". It sounds like a lifeless cheap bass from China. But even a bass like that could be brought to life by a real Wilbur. Please listen to "Spotted Owl (live)" for comparison.

@@fernandoperdomomusic OK, the bass notes are actually the same! But in this video everything sounds natural and real compared to the other one. You know those videos with extracted or removed soundtracks? That manipulates the sound. In the original you can actually hear more instruments and it sounds like 1978. I don't want to be a know-it-all, but I'm sure you can hear it yourself. But of course you were right, you can hear the real Wilbur. But his bass was put through the computer and Pretty Purdie's drums even more so. Thanks for the original video, it sounds amazing!
