The most sad thing about what happened for me it’s that Roby and (especially) Valery are not around on the internet anymore. I really miss them, I feel like they died
@owRekssjfjxjxuurrpqpqss6 ай бұрын
The saddest thing is that Toby sexually assaulted Valery. I don’t give a shit what Roby is doing after that but for the record, he is still active online just under pseudonyms and he apparently will never apologize to valery or the fans of sweet trip.

Hello, thanks for checking the video out! My DJ'ing days are over (for now). I've moved on and started working researcher at a different university. As much as I want to do a show, I'm probably too old now lol 😅 If you want, my old playlists are available at www.kmnr.org/discjockeys/492. I backed up some of my shows so I may upload those at some point (for fun of course).

does this genre have a name? I've been searching for stuff like this since I heard fish by sweet trip.
@jllgg375 жыл бұрын
Hey Thanks for listening! That is a good question. There isn't an "official" genre tag you would see on websites like rateyourmusic or discogs but the term blissbeat was used to for that mix of that atmospheric drum 'n' bass sound (which was the stuff Roby and Valerie were listening to a lot) with those wavy guitar textures. A good place to start would be Scott Cortez's work. He is known for his music from Lovesliescrushing and Astrobrite (both good in their own right) and was apparently in contact with Michael for this and his Monomara EP (which you should check out too). FYI though Astrobrite can be quite loud whereas the Lovesliescrushing is much more ambient works. He also has other albums under different names Transient Stellar and Polykroma. Rkodr and Radiaphane both has that blissbeat sound. Similiar stuff that has that fusion of shoegaze and drum 'n' bass are Wonder 2 by My Bloody Valentine (off of their m b v album), Winter Song by Flying Saucer Attack (off of their album Mirror), and Accelera Deck's Narcotic Beats to name a few. I hope that helps :)

Hi everyone, the description is updated to include the original radio recording. It is slightly edited to remove the town and campus news portion due to the names and emails associated with it. The transcript is about done but there are certain footnotes and things that we're adding to make it comprehensive. Also, sorry about the audio in some portions I equalized it as best that I could. Additionally the portions that sound weird with Roby are me censoring the word "shit" since I cannot play that over the air. Thank you all for your support for Sweet Trip. 11-5-2019 The description is updated with the transcript or here as well. drive.google.com/file/d/1aot_vlUiR8rOHCH-YnaR1IhLpbshs7NM/view?usp=sharing
