0:31 how does him doing just the bare required quests to beat the game count as one upping you? Doing all the optionals with this challenge would mean you did more of the challenging part correct?

Nope. Doing only story quests means they wouldn't be able to farm or receive any materials beyond the ones they got the first time they hunt a monster. Whether they get enough to create new armor or weapons would be entirely luck based, as opposed to my playthrough where I didn't have the same restriction, and could hunt the same monster over and over until I got the materials I wanted.

BRO ISTG EVERYBODY OVERLOOKS SWITCH AXE, Its a SOLID weapon that does great damage and even if you lose sharpness, sword mode ignores it and basically gives you an extra level of sharpness, so it doesn't bounce unless your 2 levels under

Kind of a odd thought why not grab the bludgeonor necklace and run that then you wouldn't have to worry to much about damage despite sharpness plus it doesn't change your sharpness it makes the act of not sharpening useful

I don’t read so I didn’t know sharpening is required until the final boss of Icebourne where i couldn’t do enough damage. Just raw dogged the whole game with the long sword

Sword and Shield shield bash does not use sharpness. The move is very good for a physical slugger build.

kind of a few L takes here with talking shit about the zorah magdaros story missions for one. yes they were easy, but as far as spectacle they are some of the most memorable scenes of the story in World. that and dunking on the health booster. the health booster has come in clutch so many times when i've had garbage teammates that don't know what a potion is

@@CommanderLink The health booster comments were mostly just for comedic effect as it does have some niche specific uses. As for Zorah I'm gonna continue to talk a bit of smack on them, as they're a super boring set of missions where you just do the same things for minutes at a time on scripted timers with zero threat. The spectacle wears off quite quickly. For me base World's most iconic moments are the elders and Xeno.

Charge blade shits all over this challenge btw Not only does it do flat damage with phials but you can also charge your sword so that it won't bounce. If you have good phial management, this challenge will be just another playthrough. Glad dual blades was used.

Ive actually done this by accident and finished the whole game till the mid into iceborne when i saw my friend sharpen his sword. I was so confused why most of my fights took so long, i thought the enemies grew better durability when they were weak but i guess i was just dumb haha.
