Always excited to see a new episode, been watching since the very beginning. I am not on Facebook, nor a vinyl collector, but I love seeing all the different covers and labels. I bought the 3 volume Rockologists books with all the labels and the “rarest” albums at the time. Cool to see these updated episodes, and love you guys sharing all the vinyl knowledge. Also, really dig the collectibles episodes with John 5 showing off his incredible collection! Keep making em and we’ll keep watching em. 🤟

Fascinating show as always 👏 I'll never not be amazed at how many variants exist of every record. I certainly don't have any crazy rare copies of RNRO, but I'll never forget about 10 years ago record shopping with my brother and got a copy of RNRO for free, as part of a buy-one-get-one free deal. We got home and later joked, "How funny would it be if that was somehow a tear drop?" There was a quick laugh followed by a moment of silence. We looked at each other and then rushed to grab the record and sure enough- it actually was a tear drop!! 😂

For the UK PYE red vinyl series, Rock And Roll Over, Destroyer and Alive have standard Filmworks labels. Destroyer I have already and have heard about Alive. So, in theory there are 10 records in the red vinyl series (3 with only Filmworks and 7 with the Love Gun Filmworks labels).

Not when they are printing red on the cover. Red on the inside dos not cost any more money. The LP is going for $149 now and that is a cash grab. Especially when you guys pick up 4 copies. Is Dynasty 4th an official release?

One I think you all have but didn’t mention is the copy of RARO in the Originals II set. Not an uncommon one, but definitely would fall under the Japanese versions. Also surprised no one had a French copy with the red labels

I know it probably seems crazy commenting on a video that’s four years old but I only discovered the channel recently. I’ve been having a blast going back and watching these old episodes and hope that you guys continue to create new ones. The podcast is absolutely awesome! Quick note on the make up-kit that Jason showed at the beginning of the episode. The oil and water based versions came with different booklets and it’s easy to tell if you have the correct one with your kit. You can tell if it’s the correct booklet by looking at the directions for each of the make-up designs. The oil based versions reference make-up sticks/crayons whereas the booklet that came with the water based version describes using the brush and water to make a “slurry“ with the make up pans. I believe the booklets are also slightly different sizes (one is slightly shorter than the other). And yes, the water-based booklet does have the ads for the van and microphone.

Not hard to see why you parted ways with that insufferable blowhard. I dont know what happened exactly but i bet it ended with him eating Colonel. From a limited edition promo bucket that was surely never sealed👍

I cant poster a picture on here but to display the jumbo poster ya get plexy glass ya use blue non stick to hold poster to wall then place the plexy glass over top. And to hold the plexy glass in place you use bathroom stubs to hold it that holds mirrors in your bathroom. Ya cut plexy glass 4 inches bigger than the size of the poster. And the paint color of ur room is the background. Its awesome looking and cheap to do. Wish i could post a poc to show ya.

Hello everyone from Italy. The Detroyer sticker was delivered to the store if you bought the record. It belongs to the second Italian edition (Durium). The first edition, as with most European editions, was still distributed by EMI which until the beginning of 1976 produced and distributed for most European countries. In mid-1976 EMI (UK) gave permission to European countries to produce and distribute their own records with production from the country of origin. In Italy it was acquired by Durium which publicized its marketing operation by releasing the sticker. Furthermore , again in Italy, with the release of Dynasty, was distributed with the sticker that sponsored both the album and the release of the film. Hi Luca
