QUESTION: Don't you need to seal it some how to prevent bugs/ants from entering the box? Summers are hot and smoky in Montana. Bugs look for a cool place to live.

@rlrollinsllc520 it is certainly a huge relief, the whole process can be daunting at times, but we managed to break it down and tick off each box as it come up, which made the whole process far more manageable. Thank you for your positive feedback ✌

My son did this same thing and he used a torch to get the burned wood looks, then applied a coat of sealant on it. It is absolutely STUNNING!!! I think he got his creativity from his mother 😂❤ looks great, hope you all are enjoying the deck 😊

Thanks guys ,i made mi deck ,with ab " plastic pellets, but i si i miss the Black cover you guys put before the concrète 12× 12, and yes its nesesarie..so to morrow am going to lift the deck and put the cover to keep the wigs under..thanks guys..

I have a question. What about snow and rain, I'm in the New Brunswick, Canada, should I get the blue ones? Not the pine is that correct. Because I can get them for free.

@cathymarshall369 It's totally up to you, if they are treated pine, they will last longer than raw pine pallets. Coating the deck with a weatherproof sealer with also add life to it. Hope this helps ✌

I have picked up free pallets for my floating deck. This helped as I wasn’t sure how to level. I’ll use the paver stones. Be nice if I could find those for free too lol. Thanks for the great vid.

The pallets are treated timber so should last a while, but yes, will need replacing at a later date. But for the price, i can live with that ✌

I built my own rig and I suggest others do the same. The build quality on rv’s is junk even on the good ones. They are not build to live in full time. It’s a weekender unit at best. I’ve been running mine a year now and not had one issue.

We built this deck two years ago with treated pallet boards which were stained and sealed. They have held up extremely well with no signs of rotting.

Congratulations on your Citizianship! Welcome!! Your Coleman is a bit bigger than the one we started with, but we loved it, then we upgraded to a fiver 🤣. I would recommend getting a screen enclosure. Looking forward to watching your channel.

I thought about using pallets awhile ago. Cuts down on the base work. I decided to check out KZbin to see if anyone was doing this. I'm going to do this using plastic palletts. I live where it gets cold and humid. Then Im going to use deck tiles on top. I can't recall what the black underlayment us. Is it the same stuff used for plant beds? Not sure if youre still in Australia, but that looks like a good place for those Huntsman spiders to live! You have some real scary critters down under!

@KAL829 sounds like a great idea! Any type of weed mat would be fine, we haven't had any evidence of the grass growing through. I actually live in S/W Missouri, but i don't have fond memories of the Huntsman, i used to freak out my sister when i would kill them with an open hand smack! I'm so frustrated after dealing with this for years that today, I'm going to have a bonfire. What was her gift will be going in the fire. Didn't build it for me...
