Your talk is priceless. But it gets discounted because of the low audio level & volume, apart from the room tone and extraneous ambient sounds. These things lessen my (I'm talking about myself) engagement with the talk especially if the duration is more than 10 minutes. Please do something to improve the audio quality.

जी नहीं, अभी भी ज्यादतर जगह मटर-कुल्चे मिलते हैं। लोग उनको छोले-कुल्चे ही बोलते हैं।

People finds things in scripture that they want to 'promote" in the world or cater to their view point or ideology.... Some want to promote family life,.. Some want to promote sexual satisfaction of women as they belief it is looked down upon or something else may be feminism aspect.... They just look at past often with today's prism and pass judgement.... Like Patriarchal past, ignoring the conditions of that time... ...Today physical power of human is reduced to almost nothing opening doors for women (and man) many new avenues along with man... Hence past look patriarchal from today's perspective!!!

I heard the talk and gone through his book. I also belongs to generation born prior to Independence and feel sad about the way things are happening. To satisfy my conscience, I made a video on Gandhiji, "Mahatma Gandhi- Glimpses from His Life and mission" long ago in 2007, and sometimes ago kept in U tube and also the Telugu version. Those interested can see better aspects and the vision of Nation Builders. I find there are youngsters not fully carried away by the present propaganda and India will emerge United and secular as visualised by our Nation Builders.

I enjoy his work but sadly i have issue with his conclusions esp. regarding Brahmanical corpus as he seems to take it at face value whereas if one considers who they were written for i.e. other Brahmins then we can make some broad conclusions abt. why text & practice does not match. Similarly text & practice not matching is not just limited to sea / oceans rather same is true for land as kings made alliances & judgements {attested in epigraphs} which don't confine to Brahmanical corpus while claiming complete adhereance to them. What needs to be done {according to me} is periodwise & regionwise sorting of textual sources and then noting linkages via payment systems / numismatics {cowries, Roman coins etc.}, art & commentry collections.
