I Wish It Can Continue But Sadily, Digital Only Games And Streaming Services Are Ruining The Whole Thing. I Don't Want To Say Steam Ruined It Cuz Steam Saved PC Gaming, But Consoles Shouldn't Do That! As For Films, Hush Did Got Rid Of It's Contract With Netflix So It Can Get A Physical Release! If That Happens, I Hope Everyone Will Stop Paying For Streaming Services And Stick With Physical, Why Is Everyone And I Mean EVERYONE Going Towards Streaming And Game Subscriptions? Why Do People Think It's The ONLY Option?!

My internet bill has gotten more and more expensive. So streaming is basically cable 2.0. DVDs and Blu Rays don’t need internet to play, which is a major plus.

4K digitals are cheaper. 4K Blu-ray players cost too much even though they haven't come out with new players for like 6-7 years and 4K Blu-rays nearly always cost 2-3x what a 4K digital costs, often you can find a standard Blu-ray for even cheaper and it looks fine.

For me, there's the dependability (If I want to watch something, I have it on hand) and the quality (the video and audio bitrate of a blu-ray can be much better than the stream of 4K, not to mention that you can't get true Atmos from a stream). Then, there are bonus features that usually aren't included with digital moves, especially older movies.

For me, I like being able to watch any movie I want any time I want. Not to mention that you don't own anything on streaming. Even if you purchase it. And it could just disappear without notice. I don't like censorship and many movies are now being edited for being offensive. That's crazy. How do we learn from the past if it's just deleted and forgotten. I also love owning the uncut versions of movies. For example, My Bloody Valentine was heavily cut with most of the gore scenes taken out. Scream Factory put out a beautiful Blu-ray (now a 4k too) with all those scenes added back in. But if you watch My Bloody Valentine on Shudder, it's the edited version. And Shudder is a horror streaming service. WTF? If there is a ton of stuff you want to see on streaming maybe it's worth paying it for some people but for me, there is almost nothing I need to see that I can't just buy on disc. I will always support physical media

My dad and I have been buying Blu Ray and 4K CD’s for over a decade now. I also try to buy physical Xbox games as much as possible, but they are dwindling fast compared to PlayStation ones. It sucks because I don’t want to switch consoles for physical media since eventually the PS5 releases will mainly be digital as well. Another reason why I love physical games more is due to the special editions. They come with interesting stuff like maps, stickers, posters, etc.

Physical Media Rules! My Movie Collection recently passed 3000 and still steadily growing! I regularly buy DVDs and Blu Rays! I just get whatever format is cheapest for whatever particular movie I'm getting! Strangely Blu Ray is cheaper a lot of the time! Another reason to get Physical Media is because streaming services can censor or remove stuff from the past they deem offensive! If you own it on Disc, you don't have to worry about that!
@scaldwell1982
@scaldwell1982 23 күн бұрын
I suggest buying all the DVDs and Bluerays you can now because I predict that as streaming and internet becomes more expensive and the streaming programs continue to divide and increase in number, people are going to realize soon enough that it is cheaper to get physical media and not have to pay monthly fees. Then the prices of physical media will go up again. Since physical media is cheaper now, BUY THEM NOW AND GET A HEAD OF THE GAME. It may be a good idea also to buy a bunch of high quality dvds now cheap and sell them when the prices go up, because they will!

Media was always physical in one way or another, the real question is where it is being stored. Local storage has some huge benefits and a few drawbacks. Weird as it sound I like both ways I like to have it at home in a collection but like the idea of accessing it throughthe net if anything ever happens to that collection. In theory, while in practice, slowly reacquiring all the media, in case of a catastrophe would be an immens headache and probably years long undertaking.
@KennyStepsIntoMovies

@CraftyF0X great point! Sometimes, even if I own a movie physically, I'll still watch it on streaming for two reasons. 1. The convenience of not going to get the disk. 2. If it's a more obscure movie, I want the streaming algorithm to see that someone is watching it!

aren't remakes and reboots the same thing?
@KennyStepsIntoMovies
@KennyStepsIntoMovies 27 күн бұрын
@ryanmatthews3609 not necessarily. My general understanding is that a remake is a new version of the same story, it might make some major changes, but it's pretty much the same idea and usually has the same title [ex. The Fly (1986)]. A reboot is typically a new iteration or continuation of a classic franchise [ex. The Batman (2022), or any new iteration of a comic character]

As a kid I was glad when he died, but now I don’t really think he deserved it. Imagine if in Back to the Future, Marty murdered Biff, it would feel weird and out of place. Biff isn’t a good person but I don’t think he deserves to die and now I think that with Jim.
@ScottNapolitan
@ScottNapolitan 26 күн бұрын
I guess one difference is that Biff received a come-uppance when Marty accidentally went back in time and interfered with his parents meeting, and had to fix what he'd done, so when he returned to 1985, he was a very different kind of person who treated others more respectfully considering that after George genuinely stood up to him in 1955 by punching him out before he could give him a spiral arm fracture he'd turned over a new leaf and learned not to bully people. (The part when he did become evil was after his 2015 self gave the Sports Book to his 1955 self, causing the alternate 1985, he'd actually murdered George, but they fixed that after Marty retrieved the book from 1955's Biff and then burned it as Dr. Brown instructed him to.)

Remakes are basically rereleases because since home video exists, rerelease doesn't work as well. So remake creates the illusion of "new film" & old films can be sold again as new.

A lot of really older films would definitely benefit from a remake. Martin Scorsese does this with his movies all the time. Movies like Silence are absolute classics. Classic movies like Metropolis or Battleship Potemkin could also benefit from a remake and introduce to audiences to some interesting cinema they would not have gotten to explore, otherwise.

From what I understand, yes, I think so. Here's why. For starters, he was a jealous narcissist who hated Edward just because he was different and treated him like trash. And the way he bullied him became more and more severe throughout the film. Plus he even tried to kill him at the end, he had a gun. Edward was acting in self-defense when he stabbed him with one of his scissors and pushed him out the window of his mansion to his death.
