The train lengths in North America always shocks me. Here our cargo trains are much shorter but there is not nearly as much moved by train. Railways here are mostly passenger trains but not all.

What’s sad is that the crew survived the explosion. Only the space shuttle itself broke apart and the crew cabin stayed intact. But when the crew cabin slammed into the water, it broke apart and the crew drowned. Cant imagine being one of the crew just sitting there while the cabin was descending towards the ocean. Just sitting there having to accept your fate. (Although they may have been passed out from the force of the explosion)

Quel soulagement quand le service turbo train a terminé. Mai passé mon enhance entire Paris et Trouville Sur mer en huant mal au cœur. C’était infernal. Pas moyen d’ouvrir une fenêtre, l’odeur de plastique des sièges me tournait sur le cœur…

This engineering marvel is located in the Tehachapi Mountains in California between Bakersfield in the southern Central Valley and the Mojave Desert. Union Pacific Railroad owns the tracks (formerly they were part of the Southern Pacific Railroad). The train in this video was a Burlington Northern Santa Fe, which has trackage rights.
