I may have been the first enrollee, once the 2023 seats released? A chance of a lifetime, not to be missed, one off opportunity to get close to an Elite Professional Athletic Organization in Cycling. I'm not aware of any sporting group to have opened their doors on a grand a scale as Argyle Sports! And the best characteristic is interacting with many of the supporting cast! Lets go!

I love that this exists but the „luxury“ way you are doing it will make it forever inaccessible. I would not mind a scaled down version. I don‘t need to have to meet the pros (and increase the risk they might get sick), just having the staff that helps me working on my weaknesses and makes recovery easy would be enough.

Thanks for the comment Chris. We will look to expand on camp offerings in the future, with this one it is about combining the resources available in the same place at the same time.

@@teamefcoaching I can imagine that is complicated. Just as an input, when I am on a training camp I don‘t need fine dining and a great wine selection, when I am on a training camp I am weighing my pasta and rice. 🙃

The alternative Chris could be to review the TeamEF Coaching Foundations Program listed on the site. A lot of value, a near steal and is packed with insightful content to you becoming a more proficient cyclist. Plus the schedule is written by the esteemed Head Coach, Colby Pearce.

@@FrederickJ.HaufJr I am already working with a coach whom I like and value. Nevertheless I‘d like to one day visit one of the events of EF coaching but 1000$ a day is not cheap for everyone. What I intended to state is that I don‘t need any luxury extras in a training camp since it is train-eat-sleep repeat for me. I only need a good bed and a shower.

Can you tell how close to his sprint with fresh legs Magnus did get as a percentage? My coach always puts a 1 minute all out at the end of my intervals. On a good day, I can sprint at the end of that but not at my max power. I‘d like to compare a bit.

I heard one of the commentators explain it as your body basically goes into repair mode if you actually rest on a rest day too much but you need to keep it in racing mode and if you let it go into repair mode in the middle of a grand tour then you will be stuffed and not be able to continue. Seems to make sense.

I didn't think of fueling early in a long ride. So in my 100-mile charity ride, I should take on some food/fuel way before the first rest stop/aid station, right? That may explain how I've felt in hour 5 the past few years...

Does the same principle applies while indoor training versus outside ride ?

Essentially, yes. Indoor or outdoor, it's about energy expenditure and length of effort. Name of the game: Fuel to match your effort.
