Tbh I feel the MJ Estate can take away from what the Prince estate is doing by releasing at least something yearly in terms of music to keep a constant flow of engagement up until the Michael Biopic or another Thriller anniversary since they care so much about the album. Whether that be a live album for the Victory tour or a 30th Anniversary Celebration Live Album or any other tour/show, a Super Deluxe of Invincible already or any album after Bad (instead of completely ignoring them), releasing unreleased tracks as Singles, etc. I get they try to “run differently” from other Estates, but there’s a good reason why other estates run the way they’re ran lol.

@christiandebetta6 ай бұрын
Totally respect that. Xscape is so freaking good, I hate that it flies under the radar for a lot of fans. Every song is really good and I think a few of them are some of MJ’s best songs (Xscape, STTR, A Place With No Name). I also understand having OTW that low. I caught a lot of heat for having a number of those tracks in my lower tiers, but I just prefer a lot of Michael’s later work. I really like your list!

I think leaks are really hard to prevent nowadays (regardless of the artist) but the lack of MJ music in the last decade definitely drives makes some fans desperate and they do whatever it takes to leak stuff. Obviously leaking music is wrong and shouldn’t be encouraged. I mean if I had created songs that I didn’t want out there and someone leaked them, I’d be very upset. I will say tho, if the leaks are already out there, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with listening to them.

come together at worst song is insane lol
@christiandebetta6 ай бұрын
It’s kinda hard to pick a “worst” song since all of MJ’s music is extremely good, so it’s more just personal preference. I listen to Come Together the least of all his tracks and while it’s objectively a good song, it’s just not really my favorite.

I would put Xscape at 7.7-9 because some songs are just pure remixes and i dont really like them Invincible i would put at 8-9 because its still a better album than blood on the dance floor than Xscape and on 9-9.7 I would put History its just a pretty good album the only songs that arent for me its Money and Susie and for 9.9 I would thriller simply because I like Dangerous more and Thriller has a little weaker songs than Dangerous that i dont listen and for 9.9 I would put Dangerous or Bad its debateable I probably like a little more Dangerous but i still think Bad its a better album its hit after hit and I mostly would listen to the Dangerous album more
@christiandebetta7 ай бұрын
I’m like the same way when it comes to Bad. It’s loaded with amazing tracks, but I usually just find myself listening to albums like Invincible and Dangerous more often. I also get why you put Xscape low. Interesting enough, I prefer a few of the remixes to the originals (Slave To The Rhythm, Chicago, Blue Gangsta), but mostly all the others were perfect as is (especially Xscape, which never fails to blow me away).

Love your videos! I agree with absolutely everything being said here. 90s era is my favorite MJ (Dangerous, HIStory, BOTDF) And I just feel like these eras are really starting to be lost in time and the only people really keeping them alive is the diehard MJ fandom. I’m really hoping we begin seeing more media attention to post bad era material because I feel like there’s so much still to be explored about Michael’s career and life in those years
@christiandebetta10 ай бұрын
Spot on. Michael’s work after Bad flies so under the radar and yet it includes some of his strongest music and performances. I think their best course of action would be to use the success of MJ: The Musical and (hopefully) the biopic to attract new fans and then release new post-Bad content, whether it be an anniversary album, a documentary, etc. I adore all of Michael’s music and performances, but showing the world MJ’s career post-Bad would not only please us die hard fans, but also display just how incredible he continued to be throughout the 90s and 2000s, which I think would draw a lot of widespread attention. Sorry for my mini rant lol. Appreciate you!
