The switch from 2006 vocals for Hero to 1994 Silent Night vocals gave me whiplash lmao

I'm looking at a forum from 2011 and apparently this Hero performance was very badly received by fans at the time... because they didn't realize it was 2006 vocals and thought her voice had declined💀💀

Nigdy nie słuchałam jakoś specjalnie Mirah Carey jednak w tym zestawieniu Edyta prezentuje się jak pięść do nosa. Śpiew wymęczony, wykrzyczany i mam wrażenie, że niekontrolowany. Daleko jej do Mariah.

How come Horowitz's piano sound louder and clearer than everyone else's even with the lower quality recording? I wonder how Horowitz or Argerich would play the Ossia Cadenza and kudos to Ashkenazi for his exquisite play of this piece.

Górniak śpiewa bardzo źle. To bardzo przereklamowana piosenkarka w Polsce. Ona nie śpiewa, ona drze mordę. Wyciąga te dźwięki na siłę, to wyćwiczone, a nie naturalne i lekkie jak u Carey.

Yuchan Lim 's, playing at Van Cliburn and youtube performances since are a revelation especially for an 18 yr old. He did not play the Ossia Cadenza which I'm not saying is superior, but it's so powerful emotional and mind blowing that I prefer it. Actually it's great to hear both cadenzas. Comparing these pianist's cadenzas doesn't entirely make sense since they should be in the context of the concerto or at least the first movement. Having a personal favorite is fine but they are all hugely talented and so dedicated. For clarity, sheer power I love Yefim Bronfam. Not on the list is the amazing Andrei Gavrilov, Daniil Trifonov, Alexander Gavrylyuk, Lazar Berman. Suddenly Rach 3's are coming out of the woodwork and pianists I never knew of are playing this beautifully. I enjoyed this video a lot though I cannot rate pianists of this level, dedication and individuality as 1,2, 3. I am wondering why you listened but did not hear other Rach 3's? Every great painist deserves our undivided attention. Surely among this line up and other video comparisons of the cadenza you can find pianists who make you "hear" the cadenza and their full performances make you hear Rachmonioff?

I heard Bronfman play Rach 3 live at Tanglewood 25 years ago. I doubt I will ever hear a performance that surpasses what he gave that evening. That being said, I recommend several other brilliant pianists’ recordings (though none of them play the ossia cadenza): Victor Merzhanov: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sInJd61oi819rKM Lev Oborin kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2LZaGafptmjbtE and a young Zoltan Kocsis kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGOqpJaqab6Vqpo
