@ The “basic Wario ” that get thrown in are the hardest part of this imo lol like the wiener/shark car dodge becomes a 50/50 at high speed since it’s completely unreactable

@@Fafnir_Fang Yeah I agree. It always shows up when you least expect it, and the ones with the Glass and the Cars can be hard to predict. I mostly got that far because of RNG, since it rarely gave me Wario's games.

@@laser90 Yeah RNG does have a lot to do with it when you're trying to take a run deep past the like first 3 cycles when it starts speeding up, a few games eventually just become a "life tax" unless you get really lucky lol. One of the hardest series is probably Dribble&Spitz because there even the boss becomes really hard after 1 speed up so that extra life is super hard to get, you start "bleeding lives" REALLY fast in that stage, where in most worlds the boss stays easy and it's more or less a free life recovery.

The most fun part of the game imo is going for these "high scores" after you clear the "main story". The minigame difficulty evolutions and little "half-time shows" with the characters between rounds are pretty funny to witness. if you go for 3 rounds on the last Wario stage, you get to see him dreaming about Mona winking to him or something, I never noticed before that but I guess she's his "Peach/Daisy"? After seeing this I noticed her design is actually pretty similar to Peach (Mona for Smash as a Peach/Daisy echo lol)

This is such a famous, studied game that people have turned inside-out hundreds of time looking for secrets that it’s kinda amazing there are still little things like this that remain widely overlooked.

Certain group of games throw in a few "basic Wario" ones every now and then, and they're at higher level than they are normally at this point in the "match". I think the possible Warios that can show up in other packs are the stick-catching, the "stop me" spinning Wario and the "dodge" car. The dodge car is especially dangerous since its never a "freebie" when it appears in other sets, it always has a chance to be the stop or jump fakeout. The Wario car dodge is probably my most feared minigame when trying high scores lol Correction: forgot that more than those 3 can show up, it's not all of the ones from the intro Wario batch but it's quite a few, and they're bumped in difficulty level even if the current round is still on level 1

I don't know much about the version differences or the Japanese language, but from what I've seen going around this song only have one lyrical version, the Japanese one you hear here, if you want more information on the song or this Wario Ware level in general the Mario wikia have some good information, like this for example www.mariowiki.com/Four_Seasons full translation of the lyrics

Fafnir Fang OK. This sounds a bit nitpicky, but it looks like the last Kanji character displayed may be a simplified Chinese character. If they were going for a Sino-Japanese theme, wouldn't it be a traditional Chinese character?
