How long and wide are the sliders? Can they resist the force of the air at high speeds without the wind shield moving? Thanks!
@sorinnitescu63964 жыл бұрын
No vibrations at any speed. Aluminium sliders are mounted on steel brackets.

Colin Schutz: Did you manage to do this on your ST? I have a 97 ST and it's something that I think the bike is sadly lacking. Any tips on how to do it would be appreciated.

You have used a wiper motor? But can you give me the specification please? How big ist the wiper motor and how strong? Or you can give me the link on the Internet which kind of motor did you used here? Thanks. You did a great job there
@sorinnitescu63967 жыл бұрын
It's a VW polo wiper motor from scrap yard (with an 100mm adapter flange) ; was cheap but you take care if you have enough place to mount. An easy solution for you I think may buy from ebay "12v linear actuator with 100-1150mm stroke.

I made an aluminum support for the windshield slider and an electric windshield wiper motor. There is limited space, but adjust 1 cm from the plastic behind the dash. I'll take some pictures in the winter.

Really great! I'm planning to do something like that to my v-strom. Fantastic project, and cool that the modified bracket is still quite thin.
