My sciatica goes from my hip, down the back of my thigh and then goes around to the front side of my lower leg and into my foot and it burns!!!!! so bad, I can’t even walk without a cane and even that is not enough. I just have to sit down. I’m missing all kind of doctor ad dentist appointments because it so painful to walk. I’ve had 2 steroid shots plus the pills and it didn’t help.!Please tell me what to do!!!

I had sciatica 4 years ago for the first time .When i went to the docter he told me its a muscle i snapped.I couldnt walk for 4 months and was in severe pain I was 36 years old back than but I can tell you i was crying because i couldnt even hold a plate of food in my hand.I went for dry needling and that helped but I was also persistant and stretching and moving my body.Believe me I overdosed on pain medication and nothing would help but things eventually got better.As im typing this I had another episode with sciatica and it is only this time when i did some research only to find out that it is my sciatic nerve that is so to speak pinching against my piriformis muscle.I never knew this until now and i dont know why the docter 4 years ago also didnt know or was he just lying to me lol .I am now recovering and taking vitamin D and Vitamin B and magnesium and eating better doing stretches daily and Im getting better day by day and oh yes what caused my sciatica was all due to stiff clutch when driving.I hope everyone suffering from sciatica a speedy recovery.There is light at the at the end of the tunnel.

I had sciatica, well I thought I did. I had adhesions on my fascia so bad that it was pinching my sciatic nerves. I used a fascia release ball on the side of the spine that the pain is on. The opposite leg should be pulled up to the chest to create pressure on the fascia release ball. My life changed.

@ well that’s a professional answer and most welcome. I have a flattened lumbar spine and of course going up the chain my thoracic spine is flat and so is my neck. I have overactivation of quadratus lumborum. I have two herniated discs L5L4 and L5S1. I am 41 years old. I have a mild scoliosis is 20 degrees right thoracic and 10 degrees left lumbar. The herniated discs have flattened the spine further. I have done schroth method with not great results. How does one figure out if the scoliosis curves are fixed and stuck or shall we say structural?? I have been to chiro physio massages therapists reflexologists you name it and I have a fitness qualification but my health is deteriorating due to my flattened spine. Im trying to figure out if my muscles are just spasming to move the bulging discs away from spinal cord and perhaps no amount of exercise will solve my problem. My thoughts at this stage is to decompress my spine with fascia remodeling possibly done with assistance from the team known as functional patterns. Im honestly desperate and I have pain spasming and the need to click and release my spine all through the day and night. As a result I suffer from insomnia. I am a careworker and would love to hear your thoughts. My greatest thanks

I have chronic sciatica and have been dealing with it for years. I had hip surgery about 5 years ago but don't think I had it before. Had x-rays on my back recently but was just told "sciatica ". I have not seen the radiologist's report because my regular dr ordered and I guess was sent to them. My question is my internist says I should go to therapy. I'm not sure it's the right thing. Right now I did a few things a couple of days ago with movements back and forth of wiping an area to dry it. As of today I can barely stand straight. Painful and I've been using heat, which you said no, but it does feel better. Also taking ibuprofen. My question is how do I find the cause of this terrible sciatica because I have not been told. Sorry for this long post but needing some relief. Thanks 😊

I'm not asking for a diagnosis or treatment and I absolve you of any liability, but I have a quick question. I have major sciatica pain in my left hip and I'm hearing now that the lower back could contain the issue causing the sciatica to be inflamed. Could it be because my right leg is shorter than my left due to an accident many years ago ? I do hear that I need to stop trying to stretch.
@PT4Everybody
@PT4Everybody 7 күн бұрын
Yes, one leg shorter than another can put increased stress on the low back which could lead to sciatica. You might need help to correct this issue (if possible) or might benefit from a shoes lift to correct this issue. Best of luck on your journey!

Sciatica or not hubby and I always use heat pad on our backs with some ibuprofen and it always works. The pain is usually gone the next day. I have L4/L5 anterolisthesis which causes pain and tingling in my right lower leg and foot. My low back is okay and aches occasionally when I’m overdoing with activities but the main problem is my leg pain when I get out of bed and step on the floor. I do stretches etc. and finally it may go away after an hour or so. Then I can function the rest of the day and even walk for 2-3 miles. If the pain comes back all I do is bend over touch my toes straighten up and then I’m good for another hour. The pain is bearable or sometimes isn’t even there but this whole ordeal is just so aggravating and depressing. I started PT but it makes it more painful. I try to stick with it and see how it goes. Thank you for this video.
