I have been looking for a larger bear paw block and I believe this is the size I am looking for! To make the traditional 4 bear paw block, would you cut 3.5 in strips and center block to connect them?? I am so grateful to have found you and this pattern tho it was posted 10 years ago. Nice tutorial. These are terrific blocks. With the center block folded, no need to fold the outer triangles, just align the tip of the HST's bisecting line of the center block.

@@TheQuiltCodex10 I use these as a center for a 9 patch and make star blocks using Triangle in Squares in the center outer blocks and plain (or fancy HST, Cats Cradle) in the corners.

@@TheQuiltCodex10 I sure hope so. Spring is such a busy time for preparing my weedy gardens for planting I am very sad that I haven’t been sewing for weeks! Maybe this year I will conquer the luxurious grasses that grow 6 feet tall in my garden. It’s a garden for goats!

Not at all, it goes gently! The table is handmade by my partner, and it is 92cm high, to fit my height. The clamps were bought in Leroy Merlin for 1€ each (or less)!

Easy to follow however it says 2 2 1/2" squares and you really need 4. It didn't make any big difference, but took me a few mins to figure it out. Thanks for a quick and easy pattern!
