I always thought " touch not the cat without a glove" was for the MacPherson clan. You say MacIntosh... which is it? Would love an answer.

I went to a Scottish festival in Canada one year with a friend of mine, both of us with Scottish ancestry. We both looked for our respective clans per the sandwich boards placed at different tables. I found mine, couldn't find his. Turned out my clan drove his clan out of Scotland back in the day. We were both pretty surprised about that.

I’m just soo courageous about my grandfather, he was born in Paisley Scotland 🏴, a Bicket, but was adopted by Donaldson late 1800s to early 1900s he moved to Canada Windsor! Did MacDonalds divert and shortened the name to Donaldson???👵🏼❤️

MET POLICE are shockingly useless. They will directly lie to victims f crime claiming they do not have basic technology that allows apprehension of virtually all tech devices (and certainly cellular phones, tablets, etc). They then will admit the truth (they “COULD HAVE” gotten property taken, within a 20-30 minute period of time, by finding the location of any such device, within a meter (3 feet)). I hate them almost as much as I hate the criminals who took most of the remainder of my life (all options… so I’ll likely not live, and I won’t have any reason to, anyway). I’ve been negotiating with the ppl who took my property and have used it in cybercrime against me. After that, MET POLICE claim to want to talk to me, as part of a claimed effort to arrest all members of a “ring “ hurting many people they claim, other than me alone. Then they’d look like they occasionally DO something, and can even maki g a show of deporting these people to face “computer fraud and abuse” charges (it’s not “burglary” alone nor limited to UK when using the internet… which they’ve done). I hate to use words like “hate,” but people visiting should be warned against staying in the UK… go to a more orderly country. This one where I once lived in peace is (dead?) SO SAD.

King George IV was not on the throne in 1880. Nice video but a few errors.

Thank you for your comment. - I checked and in this video I said '1818' - yet, I see how '1880' could be misheard/ mistaken for it. If you turn the subtitles on, you will see.

My family are septs of the great MacNeils of Barra clan who were notorious pirate's back in the day. I read somewhere either a book or online that even after there notorious pirate day's that it was a custom for a clan member or clan Chief to steal from other clans or people.

Sir Robert Peel (1788-1850) a Skillful Politican became Home Secretary in 1822, and carefully made police reforms without arousing the public fear of intimidation. He believed in crime prevention rather than relieving on punishment as a deterrent. In 1829 Legislation was passed by Parliament to establish the Metropolitan Police in London. A single Force with an area roughly within a circle of seven miles from the centre of London. Sir Charles Rowan & Sir Richard Mayne became the first joint Commissioners with their Headquarters in for Whitehall Place known as Scotland Yard. The police Constables wore reinforced style top hats, and navy blue swallow tailcoats and carried wooden truncheons and a rattle made of wood, which they used to raise the Alarm and call for help. Called The New Police. They also gained the nicknames of Peelers & Bobbies after Mr Peel.

It’s a beautiful memorial. There is an issue though. Most memorial gardens have benches where you can sit and contemplate in quietness. However, where the Animal War Memorial is, is really noisy due to the incessant traffic and really ruins an otherwise beautiful tribute to the ones who ‘Had no choice.’

Careful you might end up paying yourself to somewhere like Jamaica as most of the plantation and Slave owners were Scottish. Hence Campbell being the most common name there as slaves took there masters name. Scotland was a massive part of the British empire and was really into slavery and plantations
