Both sound great, the Ken Smith has a unique sound that really pops out. In context I could imagine that the Imperial fits better in the whole mix. ❤❤

The GWB1 is so responsive. It can sound very sweet, and it can sound aggressive too. The Fodera sounds great too, but to me it sounds like almost every other boutique bass out there.

The Ibanez is nice but the Jaco has more of that classic sound, though I don't think you need that particular model to get it. The Fodera seemed a bit lifeless to me.

Have you had the fingerboard lacquered or coated in epoxy? I recall Tony Franklyn commenting to me about the maple-fingerboard edition of his signature model that a maple fingerboard isn’t conducive to a fretless format.
