Do you go stealth mode with the electronics when hunting these giants? Growing up we used to catch the same big one, it was missing an eye so it was easy to tell

I might need to put this video to bed. A lot seems to have changed with AbrazX since I made the video. Was solid line for years... now. Not so confident.

I think it's important to realize that the same level of care for these big fish can benefit our fisheries when we also take this level of care of the 3s, 4s, and 5s we're catching more often. It's sometimes tedious and doesn't fit into our fishing style or our "momentum" when we're on the water, but the benefits to the fishery are real.

So awesome!! Were these fish sitting on some structure?

No. First time was shallow in vegetation, second time was out deep off a higher spot.

Here and there. I got them a lot as a kid but as an adult they have gotten less. Get small headaches a couple times a week but rarely do they turn into a migraine.

I have had the same thing happen to me at my personal best in my kayak. I caught her on a Megabass jerk bait, and my scale died on me, but I measured her out in early spring and took a guess on her weight, then released her. Within the next two weeks, one of my dad's buddies was fishing the same lake on the side of the cove where I caught mine and sent my dad a picture of her, she was 6 pounds and 5 ounces when he caught her. My dad showed me the picture, and I knew it was the fish I had caught weeks prior due to the patterning and due to her having a very beat-up upper tail fin. Comparing pictures as well, she was closer to 6 pounds 10 ounces to 7 pounds due to her having played her eggs by the time he caught her. Love your videos, btw and working my hardest to get my first double Digit on a Tyrant! Any advice on how to more effectively use a tyrant on Panoptix?

Great story, great fish! I'm not catching anywhere near this caliber of fish but my past two pbs were the same fish set up on the same spot during the same time of year. I know of another giant fish on a nearby lake that was caught multiple times off the same tree by different people. Goes to show that these big fish seem to be creatures of habit and not nearly as plentiful as we would hope.
