What an awesome layout! Mind if I asked what you did for the roads?
@abcando13 күн бұрын
The roads are made of plywood, leveled with joint compound as needed and painted with different shades of gray. Thanks for watching!

How deep was your gravel base once compacted?
@abcando18 күн бұрын
I would say it sank about 1/4” to 1/2” deep.

What are your thoughts on using 5/8-minus? I can't seem to find crushed limestone so I'm thinking of just using this and compacting it down.

The experience with raised garden beds shows that contact between wood and agrotextile is undesirable, as slugs and fungi grow between the wood and the agrotextile, causing the wood to rot quickly. Therefore, those who covered the boards with agrotextile to preserve them longer were very mistaken.
@anthonylopetrone52134 ай бұрын
Great job! Thank you for all 3 Tuff Shed videos. If you had it to do over would you still get a 10' x 12' shed or maybe a little bigger?
@abcando14 ай бұрын
Thanks, I think 10’ x 12’ is just the right size for what I need it for.
@DoersOfTheWord4 ай бұрын
Do you need paint the wood frame? How long would does it typically last?
@abcando14 ай бұрын
You don’t need to paint it, you can stain it if you want it to look nicer. Google said PT lumber can last for up to 10 to 40 years.
@krispy51394 ай бұрын
Is the wood treated? I hear normal wood will only last a few years when exposed.

Yes, they are pressure treated lumber.

Patio or concrete slabs are not needed? Gravel is fine? What do you anchor the shed to?
@abcando14 ай бұрын
My shed is not anchored to the ground.
@krispy51394 ай бұрын
@abcando1 ok. so with too much rain or wind the shed could slowly slide off the pad.
@abcando14 ай бұрын
Should not happen if pad is stable.

@@abcando1 assuming you don't really get much wind or rain, yes I suppose.

You'll have to cut down that tree when it gets bigger.. too close to the shed.

The problem with Tuff Sheds is that they use cheaper than plywood, OSB, which can emit gases when cooped up in summer heat in these sheds. OSB wasn't meant to be left exposed in any building, as these sheds are made. I was working in them as a recent sales rep, and my health went to being very exhausted all the time, and a cough and some vertigo. Now that I quit that job, I am feeling better and no vertigo.

One extra thing you can add is "Rock hold glue" that way gravel would never move if blower or rain hits it
