wonder if it's progressive because the rhythm and the... tempo? (i'm not well versed musically) follow a step pattern, every iteration a little bit new is added and the tempo is shifted up a notch until that stage of the song reaches its climax then it comes back down again and a new phase begins. So it's like progress idk...
