I like it Bronson. I spent too many years partying in my youth, then 10 years working my way through to a bachelor's degree. I am trying to impart to my daughters anything I can to help them not make the mistakes that I did. I am directing their education toward things like money and how it works, as well as just being a good person and living a good life.

What happens if you participate in an investment for accredited investors, you were not required proof and said that is on you? Will you get in trouble when you try to sell the stock or collect dividends?

Always ensure you qualify before signing any documents. If you participate in an investment for accredited investors without meeting the requirements, it could create issues if the SEC audits the deal or if you're caught misrepresenting your status.

I’ve been selling businesses as a broker for 20 years in the UK and fear of failure, either on the part of the buyer or seller is the reason why a staggering number of deals fail. Scale in the UK is also different to the US and usually includes very difficult international trading. The Harvard/Stanford model is also rarely successful and Stanford’s report from last years shows a depressing rate of deal success. Having read the Harvard paper it’s easy to see the hole in the practical logic. Having now dealt with thousands of owners & deals, I’d say that the real value is in the ugly, smaller sub-£300,000 EBITDA business and the problem is that there’s no product that matches the perceived risk that these small businesses represent and yet many of them have traded successfully for decades. I’ve also dealt with thousands of private buyers and search funds and I can tell anyone who’ll listen that it’s not as easy as a book makes it seem.
