I wish the 2000 team included both Miller and Atler. ❤💙 They were really only looking at AA, and that team, while very good, was also very lacking in certain ways.

It’s easily Vanessa Atler. It’s a shame she had such issues with her coaches and they totally screwed her mental game. But then again at this level it’s 90% mental. This whole Olympic team was treated terribly

Vanessa had better basics and overall better aesthetic and dance, powerful while still having artistic quality, but Kristen was “tough as nails” as Vanessa said

She didn’t look “fat,” just somewhat bloated, likely due to stress and inflammatory food/supplements/whatever else she was consuming. Nonetheless, it’s generally ok for a gymnast to gain weight if her body adapts and develops the strength to handle her new weight, otherwise there could be increased risk on her joints, tendons, and muscles with the extra load. Basic physics. “The bigger they are, the harder they fall.”

I bet Bela was watching! He used to insult and beat Nadia ! He is a monster ! And he hired the other monster Larry Nassar who sexually assaulted dozens of gymnasts ! Now, when I look at these gymnasts I know that their "perfection* was driven by fear and intimidation.😢
