It's a scandal that this album hasn't been rereleased. They were so much further out-there conceptually than many of their male counterparts.

I've been coming back to this, and "Before A Word Is Said," for thirty-some years, and think I might be starting to comprehend it 😂 but I can't quite imagine myself keeping up with these mind-blowingly competent dudes through one of these 386-chord wonders 🤯 How Phil Miller rode these insane key changes with such apparent nonchalance, by ear, perennially blows my mind 🤷

The Album Kingdome of Desire is a Rockin Thrillriide from the first song on. Tight and playin at levels 10, 11 12 & 200 hundred . Lukather and crew knowck this one out of the builing. Rock and roll at the top level. I believe this is drummer Jeff Pecaro's last toto album prior to his sad death. It was lawn poison 8million cigarrettes, but sorry no drugs guys. If you never got Lukather singing ballads, you'll get the rock God guitar player on here.
After being pleasantly assaulted, and challenged into exhaustion by side 1,.... you turn the vinyl over to side 2.... and begin with this! On no.... I don't believe it. And who, at that time, knew who Eric Dolphy was?

Dave's compositions were great but Alan.... he was special.. I swear, if he would have left the U.K for the U.S he would have been honored throughout. The way he heard chords and melody was UN-british and very black American. Even Stewart said in an interview that Alan was into the 'Black sound' and sounded more like those guys in the U.S than others. His post-National Health albums are mind-blowing.

Might be obvious to some, Eric Dolphy was an amazing jazz musician who died way too young - in all-too common story, doctors ignored real medical issues because they believed stereotype about drug-addicted jazz musicians, when Eric wouldn't even smoke a cigarette much less take drugs. Racism was probably a factor too. Anyways, check out his music if you haven't, Frank obviously love it! I particularly enjoy some of the music he made in Charles Mingus' band, they kinda brought out the best in each other.

Soft Machine and the heavy friends! I love this sound!🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
From WXQR: The composer Michel van der Aa has created a one-minute opera for a Dutch television show about the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370. The Dutch composer, with librettist Beatrice de Graaf, depicts an imagined communication between a Malaysian air traffic controller (soprano Nora Fischer) and the airplane's pilot (baritone Martijn Sanders) The controller asks the pilot why he's turning westward and appearing to descend, before asking, "Are you there?" The pilot responds, "Alright, goodnight." Many of van der Aa's works require musicians to interact meaningfully with characters present solely on film. In this case, the pilot's part was recorded inside a flight simulator.
