When playing the most stale character always look for crowds of enemies or herd them together to get a positive heart trade

Imma say cracked dice and dice bag should belong on the list. Dice bag just gives you free dice and if your run sucks, go ahead and d4 the moment you get it. Cracked dice is just stupid good with how strong all the items that have effects on getting hit. Allows for insane breaks

bethany is probably my favorite character in this game because normally i dont think too much about every active in the game, but she makes all of them cool

It’s bad. You can argue that you get 4 stats ups and only 2 stats down, but those 2 stats down hurt far more than the 4 stats up, especially when you take them at base stats. For example, obviously, dmg and fire rate down are bad, but, if Isaac gets a range down vs a range up, a 4.5 range hurts far more than a 8.5 benefits. A 4.5 range genuinely hurts your run; an 8.5 range isn’t going to benefit you much more than a 6.5 range. Same with speed. A 1.2 speed is good, but a 0.8 speed is genuinely awful. I took small rock as base Isaac once, and when experimental treatment gave me an additional speed down, I had a 0.6 speed. It was genuinely awful when it’s impossible to avoid monstro jumping down on you, considering how easy this boss is if you have base speed. If we exaggerate the stats a little bit, I think it’s easy to understand why a 0.2 speed is far more detrimental than a 1.8 speed benefits. Same with how a 2.5 range is far more detrimental than a 10.5 range benefits.

Too much contact damage is also bad; the enemy will die from the contact damage before Maggy slaps them, causing to not guarantee the heart drop

Not very common, but choco milk synergizes with ghost pepper, bird’s eye, parasitoid, and mulligan. The flame/spiders/flies deal full Isaac’s dmg even if you spammed the choco milk. I can solo Hush with only ghost pepper + choco + perfection as t lost The downside is that you’ll get carpel tunnel
