I feed 1 scoop of Paradigm and 1 scoop of Raw Vibrance for breakfast for both of my dogs. Their requirements are different, so their supper is not the same. I have fed a variety of ways, but when I feed too many DIY PMR meals at a time, they get diarrhea, so I like 3/4 Dr. Harvey’s meals to 1/4 PMR meals. Their poops are now consistent, so this works for me. I do use Paws of Prey Formulator and Starter Kit, and I bought BK Pets online training and recipes, though I admittedly haven’t tried them. They started advocating not feeding Raw if you source from the supermarket, and I work for the largest one and utilize sales, markdowns, and my employee discount to make raw feeding affordable. My dogs are thriving on store bought meat.

So another words, if you’re feeding a good raw diet, they’re getting all the vitamin D they need. Liver, sardines, and eggs. Should be in every dog diet. At least a couple times a week for the eggs and sardines, and may be a little more than that for the liver.

We lost our perfect dog of 14 years. My heart was broken and I wanted to get another dog to love and train. Well… My husband and I went looking for the new dog and wound up getting 8 week old Bichon-poodle litter mates. The $$$ was an eye opener and the vet bills. We just got a trainer and the puppies are 6months old. I had 4 children close together and they were not as much work as these little pups. You can’t take your eyes off of them for one minute. We love them dearly and they will be trained to be therapy dogs. I’m retiring soon from nursing and looking forward to volunteering at the hospital and nursing homes where needed. Thank you for your video. So far so good avoiding littermate syndrome.

10:37 this is my biggest problem with companies like We Feed Raw. For example they say that they have a venison protein raw that you can order but when you look at the ingredients list it's mostly beef parts. If my dog was allergic to beef and I was trying to order a venison product so he wouldn't have an allergic reaction and I didn't look closely at the ingredients before buying it I'd be screwed! And I'm sure they're a great company otherwise but that one little thing really ticked me off

I agree that education is key. However, the system is not meant to promote education. Doctors and vets don’t have time. Doctors don’t get paid for it. Half the public could care less anyway, they want the pill, they want the quick fix. And they don’t want to put any work into it. people don’t know who to believe anymore. Can’t trust your doctor, can’t trust your vet, can’t trust the government, can’t trust a brand of food that you like. I think people have hit information overload. So the education has to come along slowly, organically almost. The hard push, turns people off.

I’m always interested to hear what these high profile “experts “think about things like you mentioned. The spay neuter alternatives and rescue dogs, the cost of a titer test. vaccination requirements, etc. period. how things happen in the perfect world versus how they happen in the real world are often too very different scenarios. that’s kind of an issue. I have with the whole scene actually if pet care. They tend to give the best case perfect world scenario and make it sound like it is the only option out there that you must obtain. You must get to that level or you are a terrible pedal, etc. It’s depressing. It’s virtue signaling. And for a majority of people it’s just not obtainable. and especially when you run into constraints like financial constraints, veterinary pushback, constant conflicted information on the Internet, etc. i’ve actually had to talk people down off the cliff so to speak because they are so anxious and depressed and stressed out that they are not providing the best for their dog that they are willing to just give the dog up and just not have pet. It’s craziness that people feel the stress like that.

Be carefull quail bones are almost as bad as chicken bones and can (but only rarely) puncture your dogs stomach especially when raw. Any vet will not recommend this and ask you to cook it first because the bones get softer and will have a lower likelyhood of splintering.
