Just heard Wee Papa Girl Rappers - Wee Rule on the radio and was immediately reminded of this cause mishearing the lyrics to that song was where they got Swing My Pants from, lol.

I've been trying to remember what that mad arm movement was off for months, but how do you search for "mad arm movement"? Then just now I remembered it led to them patting themselves on the back, so I searched for "90s comedy pat on the back" and this was the top result. This sense of achivement will last weeks.

We all know that Elsevier is bullshitting. :) Golden Open Access is actually Hybrid Open Access. Add to that all the mirror journals they are spitting out to push this pseudo-OA aura around and it becomes repulsive.

I sent out overdue notices at work with the message of 'hey, this is overdue, but we know you're probably not at the office, just please return the materials when you can' (I'm a corporate librarian - so no fines for late materials). You'd think I was the library police by the panicked responses I got. :D

I use this video with great joy in my discussion about copyright law for artists. Always brings down the house! Is it legal? Does it matter if the the copyright holder is on board? Does it matter when it’s not for profit? All open questions because copyright settlements are almost always done on the down low without public knowledge. This one. Never touched. The beasties either were on board or ok with use.

Thanks Jen. One of the main reasons I posted this video was around Copyright. Here in the UK, Prof Ian Hargreaves pushed through legislation around copyright laws, parody videos etc. See the likes of copyrightliteracy.org/2019/03/07/the-hargreaves-review-5-year-impact-assessment/ ---- www.fieldfisher.com/en/insights/the-development-of-the-parody-exception-to-copyright-infringement and www.create.ac.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/BILETA-CREATe-Response-to-first-batch-Draft-Legislation-to-modernise-copyright-exceptions-published-for-technical-review-Parody.pdf

Nice to see the scots are enjoying enrichment. Soon they will be replaced altogether. Still, think about all those lovely new immigrant votes for poison dwarf krankie. The once proud second city, of the greatest empire the world has ever known. By the end of this century it will be a third world shithole, like the rest of the UK.

Remember watching this stoned and laughing, Trev and Simon were not my generation Tiswas was the thing for us. Trev and Simon will never be as fondly looked back on as Chris Tarrant, Sally James etc

I dunno about that, I was in my early 20's when Trevor and Simon were on TV. Me and my mates found them funny and will occasionally quote some of their material to this day. Their humour often had a slightly more grown up side to it than the slap stick heavy stuff of Tiswas which was also great in it's time.
