ottomans are ottomans my man, they are not even turks - it is long gone now. is that incorporated in our collective memory, our myths and our history, yes it is. but it is long gone. there are 70.000 muslims only in belrade. you don't remember, or you don't know, but we were the founders of the independent movement together with egypt and india when the world was divided into western and eastern blocks. there is no bad feelings toward other nations, races or religions. i can understand your feelings considering how much propaganda you ate from your government, who had to maintain the image of us as savages, murderers and primitives in order to justify stealing our land and setting up their military base that our then president would not give them. one example of that propaganda is that you know about tens of thousands of bosnisan people (which makes me terribly sad), but you don't know about the tens of thousands of serbian victims in that fratricidal, terrible and unnecessary war that the West instigated in yugoslavia, as it did later in libya, iraq, afghanistan, syria then georgia and now in ukraine and palestine/israel. and still there is no grudge toward any nation whose governments were involved in attack on serbia, people are people, we are all the same. governments though, they are something different. i personally despice your governments and their oppresive, bulling and aggressive behavior in their foreign policies in last half of the century. talking about ethnic cleansing, serbs are expelled from croatia, kosovo and federtion of bosnia... and this is not some nationalistic rant, those are the facts, and they could be checked. i wormly suggest you to watch this documentary about the dismemberment of yugoslavia and the wars that followed - everything said in it is really easy to verify and everything is documented and told in an interesting narrative, not just a rigid reading of documents. the documentary is called "the weight of chains" and I will leave you a link below. I really love that the two of you liked my town elhamdulillah, and i hope you will come again soon. best regards! link to the documentary: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqiXapyCa996r7M

I just moved from Bucharest to Craiova 3 years ago when i got married. At first, i was always like "No, i want back to Bucharest, there is nothing to do here" but this city being smaller and a lot more chill, i got to experience other more important things - now i am not always in a rush spending 3 hours in the public transport and i have more time to spend with people. I made friends, i go often to coffee and icecream with my girlfriends, i go drive on the beautiful curvy roads outside the city, i watch the seasons change and appreciate LIFE. In Bucharest i had more things to do but i was always stressed and depressed and tired 😅. This city is perfect for having a family and just living life. That beibg said, this is our base camp and home and we go visit other places and other countries and experiment other cultures pretty often. I would not change this city as a home, even thought i am the kind of person that likes to travel and walk and see as much as i can from this world. Parcul Romanescu is the biggest park in eastern Europe if i remember well You should also visit the Botanical Garden. For icecream, i have a great place to recommend. I really like icecream and have tried gelato in many many places in Italy. The icecream in this place in Craiova is just as good if not better than the best icecream i had in Italy... so you should try CREMINO for best icecream in the city (i don't know when it has been open, but i just discovered it last month). Hope you will enjoy your holiday on Romania ! Also your pronunciation for romanian words is very good !!! Congrats !

Wait for the Christmas Market to get back into motion. We'll feel like those locals in Barcelona that get suffocated 365 days a year with tourists A good thing for the city, but whenever you want to visit it, you get to walk in a super crowded area and always have to watch out and make your way through people, whether it's in the Old Town or in the Mihai Viteazu Square. The city is just too small to handle that type of tourism.

Universitate is a fuckin' annoying place (excepting some historical buildings), where you can cook chicken eggs on the stone, when outside you have over 40°C all the time in the summer. The good thing, is you can see some pussies (un)dressed like they are on the beach. But, we can understand them, many of them are waiting for some bosses, Vips with big wealths, ready to marry them.😊
