@ just when we can. We’re trying to show the kids that getting out and seeing and experiencing things gives you a different perspective and also gives us time to bond as a family. Sometimes plans go haywire (I think this is the resistance you talk about), and you just make the most of it. We’ve stumbled on some local festivals and farmers markets, done scavenger hunts, and eaten at interesting local places. Subscribed!

I think you said it best. I mean it’s cool and all but nothing can touch the simplicity of Tesla. I still think they have awhile to go to even match what Tesla is doing. Love the concept but it could be better.

@ yes it seems like a wonderful concept and fingers crossed the infrastructure has a fast build concept that’s scalable to deploy. But there’s so much work that needs to be done. Which somewhat leads to my next wonder in the RV market whether or not manufacturers will reach benchmarks of implementing EV technology within their platforms. It’s started to be talked about a little bit, but it seems to be kind of important. Any thoughts? Didn’t mean for it to be on a tangent but I’m a bit excited about the turn of the century EV transition and progress.

If I’m not mistaken I think the hummer can charge faster than the cybertruck. I just looked it up but definitely going to look into it. We never spend longer than 15 min at a super charger. Also depends on driving habits etc too.

@@edwarda.r2976 I'm not saying I'll take it cross country. But watch a few videos of what it is like to charge an EV. For 200ish bucks you get a fast charger installed at your house. Which makes it really easy to charge especially over night. When out and about, you can go to 80% charge in an hour. Which means you can usually spend 10 minutes to fill up enough to get your local errands done, then get home and put it on the charger to fill up. It is definitely a modification to how you plan your week, but most people are already accustomed to it from keeping their cell phones charged. Additionally, unless you are traveling long distances, you are still only charging once or twice a week. (The average person drives less then 20 miles per day) Even on road trips, you top up, every 2 hours, which is the average time to take a break, stretch your legs and use the bathroom. There are certainly a lot of faults for EV's and they are not for everyone, but the closed minded level of hate bothers me.

It definitely is a tank. That’s awesome to hear you have had it for 7 months. Getting to try it out was awesome. Definitely need more time in one to get our full thoughts aligned.

Yeah they can definitely be a scare factor in a purchase. Not knowing what something would cost to fix nor know if parts will be available later on in life. Good points for sure.

Great question, I do believe it is also steer by wire. I could see Tesla coming out with an update that allows for it to work or happen. Maybe call it moon walking 🤷🏻‍♂️lol I like that. Moon walk mode.

Oh absolutely agree. To be honest there to different platforms in many ways. Tesla just has it figured out IMO. Nothing touches the Tesla network. Another thing we don’t have is time to deal with the swapping etc as well. We are still team cyber truck… for now anyway

@WePlusThreee it is a nice looking vehicle, but it has different uses. At the end of the day, what you use it for and what you want are all that matter. Other people's opinions can only help with that decision by bringing to light or reminding you of things you might have forgotten or didn't think about. The width of the hummer makes the already difficult part of parking in small spots with the cybertruck even more difficult. I'm still waiting for the summon feature to make this much easier.

@ we are happy with the cyber truck. Also Happy to be apart of the being different movement as well. We can’t wait for summon will be making a video as soon as we get that feature.

Wow memories! I remember being a kid and going to circuit city with my parents lol. It’s cool to see how history changes but is still standing today, and busy still.

I heard the Silverado was actually pretty good. An the range is a whole topic of it’s own.

It would be tough to leave the Tesla platform to be honest.

That is a downfall to Tesla I think they could have done that. That bigger battery is leading the way for sure.

Nothing can really compare to the Tesla infrastructure tbh. Would be tough to find something like it.

The driving experience is amazing. This is my 4th Tesla and it is head and shoulders above the rest. The vehicle is so over the top is just makes me smile. It's not perfect but it's amazing.

Great points! Safety is always a top priority, and Tesla’s 5-star ratings definitely set a high standard. The weight of the Hummer is an interesting factor-I’ll be curious to see how it holds up once official testing is completed. Hopefully, it lives up to expectations, but it’s always good to keep an eye on the data. As for the one-on-one time, I couldn’t agree more. It’s such a joy to see their personalities come to life.Those moments create memories that last a lifetime, for both them and us. It’s awesome that you do the same with your grandkids-it really makes a difference!

Tesla has opened the network to all EV’s now. Kinda makes it a reason for the switch. Big thing is range and reliability.

It is a concern for sure! They can charge on the Tesla network now. But the range and durability I think is unmatched to Tesla.

Wish we could flat tow an EV. Trailer is cool but flat tow is fast and easy. Your right about the deals and incentives right now, they are pretty wild and I don’t blame the flirt lol, I didn’t know Maverick had a hybrid. I heard those are awesome for flat tow.

Yeah i would love to flat tow an ev, but a trailer definitely had some time and hassle to a travel day, the new 2025 awd hybrid should be flat towable. 2024 and older were only flat towable in fwd hybrid.

That’s what we are thinking. The infrastructure of Tesla is unmatched.

@@timr9082 too bad the CT is so range limited with no sign of range extender battery on horizon. SC network is a big part of the decision. Never watched this channel before, but if they’re often towing, I would imagine the CT is not the best choice just based on range alone.
