Belgium Frozen Waffles ONLY. I microwave them for a few seconds before popping in the toaster so that the outside doesn't burn before inside heats up. I refuse to do the Eggos. They should be banned from any decent society with proper taste and decorum!

I had been buying deli refrigerated soups - mostly with chicken, but although I usually enjoyed the flavors, I was consistently disappointed in the dryness of the chicken. I wondered if the creators of these soups had ever actually tasted them out of the supermarket. From now on, I'll be making my own. No excuse for selling items with such a glaring shortcoming. What are they thinking?
@foodthatwarmsyoursoul3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Yes most refrigerator deli type soups are disappointing. The chicken you mentioned I also discovered and can only assume they are using dried chicken bits in their soup. So how do they make chicken stock? Been making my own for years and the chicken is never dry whether by Instant Pot or in a pot on the stove!

Some of the wateriest crap I've eaten. Not only tasteless but it was all broth,... These f-ing companies have some nerve boy. "Lets give them the ultra minimum, but charge an arm and a leg,"... Not even enough salt to even attempt to FAKE flavor....

Kids? I eat these 3 regularly. I'm 51 years old. I can't afford to actually cook a good meal at the moment because of the economy and I just moved into a new place and I'm having to buy everything, from a shower curtain to trash cans to broom to furniture... the whole nine yards. And I'm OK with it because I grew up eating Chef Boyardee and it's comfort food for me. And I think the ravioli is great.

Just tried tims butternut squash soup in a can. Flavorless, boring, disappointed, and could not get past 3 bites. Compared to the butternut squash soup i make at home, this canned stuff tastes like dishwater after i rinsed the pot. Im baffled at how tim hortons could put this on shelf. They have lost their standards for quality products. Save your money and your tastebuds from this disaster!

Thanks for your comment! There is nothing that can compare to home made soup. I agree with you there. There are times however you need to buy some canned soup for your pantry. Tim Horton's soups are not my favs either!

If your in the Toronto area you should try TYMEK'S Natural Foods in Etobicoke for naturally salt fermented Sauerkraut, much better than that store bought stuff. Another thing we used to do for this is put Apple Slices on top of the kraut with the onion.
@foodthatwarmsyoursoul10 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment! I'll have to check out that store. I have made sauerkraut myself just using salt as you mentioned and it is much better. My mother never made roast pork with apples. Just one of the many regional differences in German cooking.

channel name "food that warms your soul" yet you don't say how it tasted and just complain about price and sodium content?
@foodthatwarmsyoursoul11 ай бұрын
Not sure what you mean by your comment. I describe in a lot of detail the appearance, aroma and taste of each product I tested. I also provide nutritional details concerning salt, sugar, fat and calories so you can make an informed decision. Of course this is my opinion only, you would need to decide for yourself if the product is a good match for your tastes.
@ninjafrog69664 ай бұрын
hey buddy, the title of the video is “are they good for you?” it makes complete sense to talk about the sodium content and price because shocker, sodium in large quantities is not good for you

This is SOOOO good, people have NO idea how great this comes out - and how easy it is!! I learned how to make it when I was stationed in Japan and am addicted. Some of my Japanese & Korean friends "cheat" and instead of fresh carrots add a tin of the Peas/Carrots mix from the store (which is is actually pretty good - though I like to add a handful of dried whole peas I soak for around an hour first and fresh carrots... but when you're pressed for time...). The only suggestion I MIGHT make is to break the curry cubes up and just lay them on top of the ingredients before you close up the Instant Pot - it lets the curry melt over the rest and is really nice. Thanks for another great video!
