And STILL Frodo and Legolas don't speak to each other 😂 ... it's almost like Frodo can't remember his name (this is all nonsense of course, but if you look at again it you'll see what I mean 😉 the fact that they talk very little to each other in the entire series is a running joke from another LOTR KZbin video)

I always saw this whole sequence as a symbolic death and resurrection for Frodo. He was already prepared for death as it was, after enduring so much pain and suffering as the Ringbearer, and the physical, mental, emotional torment throughout the entire quest. He was ready to welcome death, and when he awakens, he finds himself in a new life, free of the Ring, and Gandalf having that angelic/God-like appearance, when Frodo had thought Gandalf was gone for good after his battle with the Balrog. It was too good to be true for him, to be alive and reunited with his friends again.

I'm an old man who still gets chills and tears over the last 30 minutes of LOTR/RTOTK... The recovery and reunion, the coronation, and especially... the very sad parting at the end. The music speaks to the heart. And just so ya know... Peter Jackson IS A HOBBIT !
