Pre fill the new filter with new oil before you put it on. This way you’re not starting it dry. Remember it takes time to fill the filter and send oil thru the system. You can cut down that time by pre filling filter before install.

No lubrication is needed, its just easier to break or get weathered.

Looking at the SDS for RMR-86 and it is effectively Bleach + Surfactant + Alkaline Booster. The surfactant/wetting agent likely to help overcome Bleach's bad penetration in porous surfaces. The SDS lists the surfactant and alkaline booster as proprietary, but you could use detergent as a surfactant and baking soda as an alkaline booster to make a ghetto version of RMR-86. Only thing to keep in mind is that this mix wouldn't have a long shelf life - but as a DIYer, you can mix as needed. Companies like RMR have to overcome many other issues like shelf life etc.

Fwiw. Just used mine for the first time to stain my thoroughly-prepped, okd, cedar fence with Cabot’s Australian Timber oil. Cabot and Avanti rec. 513 tip, which takes the 60 mesh filter. There are videos from HF on how to prime. My fence has overlapped pickets, so 8ft section by 6’ tall or approx 50ft^2. Sprayed 17 sections with 5 gallons with the 513 tip and good coverage without overdoing it. Approx 175ft^2 per gallon. Gallon cans are unhandy, as the intake screen loses suction with almost 2” left in can. As you swap cans, you lose prope priming. After getting going, I was clever enought to have the input line and priming output in the same can, and would just change to the priming position after can swap for about 20 sec. It took a gallon of mineral spirits to flush the system and Then disassemble, submerge gun, small pieces and inket, outlet hoses. Gun hose end outsides were wiped down with the slightly dirty spirits. Then I used 1/2 gallon of clean spirits in a small bucket to submerge gun and all small parts, and wipe down in/out hoses and gun hose. I prepped by putting up cardboard at fence top edges to protect neighbors yard. I did no backbrush. Prepping and cleaning was significant effort, but spraying was easy and fast. 17 fence sections, 850 ft^2, 5 gallons. I was short by 3 gallons, and won’t go through the setup and cleanup again. I’d say for oil stain, it pays off with big jobs, but the cleanup and leftover dirty spirits don’t justify using it to complete

I’m looking for a USB-C splitter for my Pixel 7 Pro that can connect too its USB-C porrt. The splitter should have two female USB-C ports: one for connecting USB-C Apple EarPods to makee phone calls, and the other for charging the phone and supporting data transfer. This data transfer should enable USB debugging mode, allowing me to use the mirroring application, scrcpy. I’ve noticed that most products on Amazon only support data transfer on the port that supports audio, but not on the charging port. Can you recommend a product that meets these requirements?

So are you not able to scan multiple documents from the back tray? What the point of having to paper feeders? We have looked everywhere trying to find tutorial on how to scan from back feeder. Grrrrrrrr, so frustrating having to scan 1 page at a time
