All of you councillors should resign for following these idiotic climate policies! We were not asked for these measures be put in place, like CAZ, ANPR cameras, Facial recognition, 24/7 surveillance. All of these policies are contravening our inalienable right to freedom of movement! Maybe you should read George Orwell's 1984, it was not a book of fiction, it was a warning to mankind! All our tax monies being wasted on idiotic climate ideology is a public office offence, for misuse of public funds!! You should all be made to pay back these funds to the people who have worked hard to pay you these obscene sums of taxes.

Subject: Urgent Complaint: Systematic Racism and Favoritism by Sheffield City Council Dear Sheffield City Council, My name is Jamie Hicks, and I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the illegal eviction and theft of my possessions by your Council. In 2015, after a two-year wait, I was given a flat in Barking and Dagenham. I exchanged this flat for a property in Sheffield in 2022. However, I was illegally evicted from my Sheffield property, and my belongings were stolen by the Council to make room for asylum seekers at the Holiday Inn. Despite my numerous complaints and attempts to address the situation, I have been ignored and mistreated. The handling of my case by the Sheffield benefits department appears to reflect systematic racism and favoritism. The prioritization of asylum seekers over English citizens in this instance is not only discriminatory but also deeply troubling. I am left to question whether my treatment was influenced by my nationality, given the consistent lack of respect and disregard for my rights. I am requesting immediate action to rectify this situation, including the return of my possessions or appropriate compensation. Additionally, I urge a thorough investigation into the practices of the benefits department to ensure fair and equitable treatment for all residents. I await your prompt response and resolution. Sincerely, Jamie HicksSubject: Urgent Complaint: Systematic Racism and Favoritism by Sheffield City Council Dear Sheffield City Council, My name is Jamie Hicks, and I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the illegal eviction and theft of my possessions by your Council. **Jamie Hicks** 517 Martin Street Sheffield S6 3DU [Email Address] [Phone Number] **Sheffield City Council** Sheffield Town Hall Pinstone Street Sheffield S1 2HH **Date: 03/08/2024** **Subject: Urgent Complaint and Request for Clarification Regarding Eviction and Benefits** **Dear Sir/Madam,** I am writing to express my grave concerns regarding the treatment I have received from Sheffield City Council’s benefits department and the imminent eviction proceedings scheduled for July 3, 2024. As an ESA Support Group recipient since 2015, and given my diagnosis of multiple personality disorders, I am deeply troubled by the lack of adequate support and the apparent disregard for relevant laws and regulations. In light of recent events, including the potential disposal of my belongings without due process, I request a comprehensive explanation and detailed responses to the following questions: **1. Compliance with the Equality Act 2010:** - How does the Council’s action align with the duty to make reasonable adjustments for individuals with disabilities (Section 20)? - What measures are in place to ensure non-discrimination based on my mental health condition (Section 15)? - How does the Council provide appropriate support and communication methods considering my diagnosis of multiple personality disorders? **2. Adherence to the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended):** - How has the impact of eviction on my mental health been considered in the Council’s decision-making process? - What support or accommodations are available for individuals with mental health conditions facing eviction? **3. Interpretation of Universal Credit Transitional Provisions Amendment 2022:** - Can you explain the Council’s interpretation of this regulation and its impact on my eligibility for housing support? - How does this interpretation align with current legislation and guidance? **4. Compliance with the Housing Act 1996:** - How does the Council ensure that vulnerable individuals, such as myself, are provided with appropriate assistance and housing options (Part VII)? - What steps are being taken to prevent homelessness among vulnerable individuals? **5. Justification under the Human Rights Act 1998:** - How does the Council’s approach align with the right to respect for private and family life (Article 8)? - What safeguards are in place to prevent inhuman or degrading treatment (Article 3)? **6. Financial Viability and Non-Payment of Rent:** - Given my weekly income of £130 and my rent of £84.70, how does the Council expect me to manage basic living expenses while paying full rent? - Are there discretionary housing payments or other financial support options available that have not been applied in my case? How have my fortnightly payments of £30 been considered in the eviction decision? **7. Legal Process and Eviction Notice:** - What legal processes were followed to obtain the eviction notice, and were all requirements under the Housing Act 1988 adhered to? - How has the Council ensured that the eviction is lawful and justifiable? **8. Appeal and Support Options:** - What avenues are available for appealing this decision or seeking a delay, considering my mental health and financial situation? - What support services can the Council offer or recommend during this crisis? **9. Independent Assurance Assessment (IAA) Report:** - How do the Council’s actions align with findings and recommendations from any relevant Independent Assurance Assessment (IAA) reports? - What improvements or changes have been implemented based on these assessments? **10. General Concerns:** - Why has there been a failure to adequately communicate and address my concerns regarding the Universal Credit Transitional Provisions Amendment 2022? - What actions will be taken to address the apparent disregard for relevant legislation and the perceived lack of respect and dignity in handling my case? I have video evidence of the benefits manager ignoring my questions about compliance with the Universal Credit regulations. My case number is J4PP4085 at Sheffield County Court. I am considering pursuing a judicial review and taking my case to the County Court section at the Royal Court of Justice in London. A detailed and prompt response is essential to address these issues and support my case. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. **Sincerely,** Jamie Hicks

Dear [Leader of Sheffield City Council/Relevant Official], I am writing to request straightforward answers to the following questions regarding the operations of Sheffield City Council’s benefits department. I have been trying to get these answers for over two years without success. Please respond with a simple "yes" or "no" to each question: 1. **Does Sheffield City Council, when assessing housing benefit decisions, operate in parallel with the Universal Credit Transitional Amendments Provisions Regulation 2022?** 2. **Does the Sheffield City Council benefits department have any jurisdiction over Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) benefits of tenants?** 3. **Does the Sheffield City Council benefits department have any jurisdiction over people’s healthcare conditions from the NHS?** These answers are crucial for my case preparation for the Royal Courts of Justice, Judicial County Court Division. I would appreciate your prompt response to these queries. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Yours sincerely, Jamie Hicks Illegally evicted 03/07/2024 won't even communicate with me like a normal human being three questions please answer me?

### Questionnaire for Sheffield City Council Policy Committee **Subject: Treatment of Tenants with Mental Health Issues and Related Service Concerns** **Name:** Jamie **Current Location:** Sofa surfing in Barking and Dagenham **Previous Address:** 517 Martin Street, S6 3DU **Background:** I am writing to express my concerns regarding the treatment I received from Sheffield City Council in relation to my mental health condition, social care, and benefits. Despite being on the ESA old-style support group due to diagnosed mental health issues, I have faced significant challenges and inadequate support during my transition to Universal Credit. Additionally, I experienced an illegal eviction and a lack of assistance from the council. This situation has severely impacted my mental health. **Questions:** 1. **Training and Awareness:** - What training do Sheffield City Council staff receive on handling tenants with mental health issues? - Are there specific protocols for cases involving tenants with mental health conditions? 2. **Eviction Procedures:** - What are the procedures for evicting tenants, especially those with diagnosed mental health conditions? - How does the council ensure that evictions are conducted legally and ethically? 3. **Benefit Transition and Support:** - What is the process for transitioning individuals from ESA old-style support group to Universal Credit, according to the Universal Credit Transitional Amendments Provision Regulation 2022? - Why was I required to claim Universal Credit without receiving a transitional letter from the DWP? 4. **Housing Benefit Issues:** - Why was I refused housing benefit despite being eligible and paying rent from an income of £130 per week? - What steps can be taken to rectify this refusal and provide proper assistance? 5. **Communication and Support:** - What are the standard response times for inquiries and complaints made to Sheffield City Council, particularly in urgent cases involving vulnerable individuals? - How does the council ensure timely and effective communication? 6. **Mental Health and Social Care Coordination:** - How does the council coordinate with mental health services and social care to support tenants with mental health issues? - What steps are taken to ensure continuity of care and support during housing instability? **Personal Situation:** - I was evicted from my flat at 517 Martin Street and left without my belongings, leading to sofa surfing in Barking and Dagenham. - I have been referred to primary mental health services and my doctors at Devonshire Green Medical by the Northern General Hospital Mental Health Team. - The lack of support from Sheffield City Council has severely impacted my mental health. **Conclusion:** I respectfully request detailed responses to the above questions and immediate action to address my situation. It is crucial for Sheffield City Council to improve its support for tenants with mental health issues and ensure staff are adequately trained to handle such cases with the necessary care and legal compliance. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. **Sincerely,** Jamie

🚨 **URGENT** 🚨 I'm sharing my story to highlight a serious issue with Sheffield City Council's handling of vulnerable individuals. On 03/07/2024, I was illegally evicted from my home. The police and bailiffs intimidated me, leaving me with nowhere to go. As a mental health patient, I sought refuge at the Longley Centre, Northern General Hospital, where I was admitted to primary care mental health and CSC. I lodged a complaint on 09/03/2024, but the council has failed to provide my basic rights and support. This situation has deeply affected my mental health, and I demand answers: 1. Why was the eviction carried out without proper justification? 2. How will the council address the intimidation by police and bailiffs? 3. Why wasn't alternative accommodation provided? 4. What steps will be taken to support mental health patients in the future? Sheffield City Council, please take this complaint seriously and ensure that no one else has to go through such a traumatic experience. Sheffield city Council before implementing any new policies or fee increase for Sheffield taxi drivers must take into consideration that due to the Sheffield clean air zone Sheffield taxi drivers had to upgrade they vehicles to comply with the clean air zone these Hackney carriage and saloon private hire vehicles don't come cheap and the London electric taxi coming in at £70000 Mercedes vito at £44000 drivers have made huge financial commitment and have taken out bank loans the least Sheffield City Council can to is delay the fees increase for a another two years and increase fees in line with Sheffield taxi drivers in come based data majority of our taxi trade has been taken over out of town drivers with veezu and uber providing cheap fares Hackney carriage work is all most none existence some times it could take up two hour's to get a first fare from Sheffield taxi ranks

4.6 Million... MILLION! ON LEGAL FEES COS YOU DON`T HAVE THE STAFF! why are you wasting so much money on the repairs service? why is the communication in the repairs service non existent? why have there been over 20 scaffolds erected in the space of 150 yards IN THE LAST 5 MONTH?, why is Tom Hunt saying he cares about the residents concerns when he does not want to listen on how 10 years of patched up roof leaks have cost 10`s of thousands of pounds... "SPENDING EVERY POUND OF THE CITY MONIES WISELY" WOW Tom you actually had the cheek to say that? when i`ve been telling you since you was Walkley Cllr how much is being wasted on this estate (totally ignores all my calls, emails and messages for the last year or so and his predecessor in Walkley has ignored me since presumably because of Tom) just got the same line 14 years of Tory cuts but that doesn`t make sense when people are doing the work but just doing it very very badly, speak to the repairs service and they don`t know anything prior to the last few week on any issues, so the little money they have should be spent more wisely instead of wasting on continued attempts to do the same repairs over and over and over again and again and again, It`S AN EMBARASSMENT TO THE CITY THE LACK OF ORDER, ORGANISATION AND WORRYINGLY KNOWLEDGE ON HOW TO DO THINGS LIKE REPAIRS IN THE REPAIRS SERVICE

Interesting that the strategy seems to be to deny democratic accountability.My MP says they will be consulting on how the imposed low traffic neighbourhood will be n made permanent.There was practically no consultation on what be they call an active neighbourhood,it's has most likely increased pollution,it has certainly fouled up police and emergency vehicles and local questionnaires indicated no one wants this imposition.The Labour election flier said " listening" party.They certainly listen only to themselves.Set of jokers.

You must understand that they are attempting to implement these hate speech laws throughout the Build Back Better nations. The aim is to alter our reality, censor our ability to speak freely, and pander to a small fragment of the population who is guaranteed to vote for blue and green policies. Minister for Victims and Community Safety Siobhian Brown, an actual job title and government-funded agency, believes hurt feelings can be “traumatic and life-changing” and believes the world must be silenced. The government may deem what is and is not offensive. People will become fearful to speak their truth or question authority as it could come with consequences.

The highways and planning of Sheffield reminds me of Billy Smarts Circus.Any major city with so little public transport should have more roads not more blocked off roads.The Mayors Office told me this week that the bus network has a 90 minute holiday while the buses and drivers do the school run.Should this means everyone has to wait or walk?Just a large village not a proper city.Always was: always will be.
@andrewgamble53327 ай бұрын
Sadly public transport in Sheffield is a bad joke.The Mayors Office has just confirmed that there is a 90 minute gap in afternoon bus transport because the buses are used for school runs! Not funny really.When is this sort of farce discussed by the committee?

The main contribution I recall of this authority was the removal of the OAP travel concession on Northern Rail.It wasn't popular then and its not either popular or forgotten now, particularly as other areas,like Manchester,have retained it but whereas Manchester residents can use South Yorkshire trams for free we cannot use Manchester trams.Why?

Although Tom is a personable individual I am not sure we agree on many things other than the need to improve transport.Sadly this doesn't seem to be but comes second to " initiatives" as they call them to restrict road users who prefer to drive rather than catch cold waiting for a bus to drive past( not in my experience always stop).I suppose that the advantage of these committees is that they keep their members from being someones social workers,probation officers,or teachers.That can only be a win for many people in Sheffield.

Don't particularly agree that there should be a UN declaration at the start of this section and don't particularly agree the UN is a body worthy of any praise given it's highly politicised nature.However all credit to our council who seem to slow down the traffic in Sheffield heaping costs on business and individuals alike so increasing pollution by increasing delays to traffic.Walkley low traffic neighbourhood ( active neighbourhood or some tripe) is a brilliant example of how to create chaos and Democracy is a victim as few want LTNs and in Streatham the school has had so many pupils mugged in LTNs that they are policing their LTN.Of course the bus service is a joke.Some services don't run at all on Sundays.Others are cut at the times the buses and drivers do the school run.What a farce.

Why is it that Sheffield has no policy on housing to the extent that rich companies continue to buy up neighbourhoods and families don't get a chance?York, Newcastle,Leeds etc have restrictions on student housing and on advertising signs which fill whole streets off in Sheffield,but no policies to deal with the imbalance which wreck communities.Get real why don't you?

Hopefully they will one day question the cost of the South Yorkshire Climate Alliance to Sheffield Council and ratepayers,or the reason pensioners can no longer travel for free on local trains.Manchester has an integrated and effective transport scheme.South Yorkshire has a total shambles.What a bunch.
