Run the smaller 3s battery up front on that plate. That's what it's for and then throw your speaker in the old battery slot. Just an opinion

Thank you, building workable track is one of my favorite parts of model building.
@manchu9inf3 ай бұрын
Its usually the first thing i do is build the track.
@chugg5354 ай бұрын
there is really no excuse for all the sink marks in the track pads. That was the kind of quality you would see decades ago, but not now. The detail is ok, not great, kind of hard to tell from a distance sometime. Thank you for the review. If you are going to build it I will have to tune in for that.
@manchu9inf4 ай бұрын
they are no doubt sink marks, I started filling them today, so far i have a run of 11 links done on the track. For some crazy reason, I always build the track first.

Nicely done! I built the Ausf A/B/C variant of this kit, and I agree that the upper and lower hull and main gun were challenging. However, I had watched Andy's build video for the F version and it helped me be prepared for the 'fun'. I used the internal bits for the vision ports and modeled them opened, along with the turret hatch. My planned diorama will have the crew (Jeff Shiu figures) outside the tank, scanning ahead, taking a smoke break, etc.

@Savchenkov110 ай бұрын
Just finished mine today also. Not a bad kit, but then I don't think I'd want to build another. Some really poor fitting points like the headlights and rear fender springs. As for the interior gun and scope mounts, that beat me. Crazy number of minute parts to be cemented together that I threw them in the bin. Never to be seen either way. I went for the DAK version without turret bin.

One of the worst kits I've ever built, the hull is an issue and also the gun is totally over engineered considering most of it wont be seen with some really minute parts, I binned most of mine

Thanks for showing us your upgrades. I want that low CG battery tray and ESS sound system. The only problem is I use the front tray to run 2200 mah 3s for crawling for forward weight bias. I just upgraded mine with the 2in1 hobbywing FOC ESC motor combo, some brass, Hot racing + 5 mm stub axles with brass and black Hex adapters. I just got in my ford raptor body which is for the long wheelbase. Fits perfect. I ordered the SCX10 Honcho body as it will be easy to stretch it to fit. I don't want to ruin the stock body. It's going to be my shelf queen or for simple trails, lol. The stock body is so nice looking. So you think they will release a clear one?
@manchu9inf2 жыл бұрын
some nice upgrades and the raptor body will look nice! I hear ya on the forward battery, but if you want to run sound, then i think you will have to go to the low cg battery tray, there just isn''t a lot of room. I have some more upgrades coming just waiting on the parts to come in. I do think they will make a clear body, probably released next year or Christmas time, maybe. I have also heard that a Ford 150 Truck body with the high lift will be coming soon too!

I am also planning on using the ESS 1 for sound, i just dont feel like taking one off my Blazer but I should just to test the fit. I am going to use the Traxxas Pro scale lighting system, maybe in a couple of weeks have that done. Sound will have to wait.

I have them both, the ESS 1 versus the ESS duel it's huge. ESS one is not only just one speaker but it's also half of everything that I would say the dual is; the sound isn't as good, the program isn't as good you don't have as many options. Just my advice, I would say stick with the DUAL if you've got the room I know I had to go with the one because I put that on my 4-tec and the dual wouldn't fit inside lol so I had no choice but I can definitely tell the difference and the ESS dual is much better. But if you're like me and just don't have the room then it's an OK sound device, I'm not disgruntled over the difference, and knowing what you get is better than not.
