1994-2000 = My childhood. TV after school was awesome. Loved Grange Hill, Bikers Grove, Neighbours etc

Wait hang in! Grange Hill was still going uo to 2008???? I had no idea, I had 2 kids by then and grew up watching it

I remember when they changed it in 1990 and really missing the wah wah wah wah end bit.

The third one was rubbish!

The 3rd and 4th ones are most memorable as they were my school years although 78-88 is the most iconic, 88-89 was the worst until the early 2000s crap

I left school the year they stopped using Chicken Man as the theme, I liked that theme and the flying sausage but I think 1990-1993 theme was a better fit for the show.

2004-2007 was my childhood

1st one I remember watched 1985-93

The funky original is best, then the sledgehammer like remix is fine but didn't last long

90-93 sounded like a Sonic the Hedgehog stage

1994-2000 is the theme tune I remember as a kid although I always used to switch off whenever it came on. I'd just escaped from school so why would I want to go back again? 😂. Always preferred Byker Grove myself.

My favourite intro out the lot is the one where the boy crushes the coke can. I love everything about it right down to the music they should of kept that and done that from the beginning of the series.

Original version is Chicken Man by Alan Hawkshaw who also wrote the Countdown theme and Channel 4 news. Very talented guy.

Have to say that the awful 90s theme lasted far too long, well into the 2000s!? it sounded very dated even in 93. You used to see both quite a lot in the 90s though, old series from the 80s were still being shown regularly with new ones.

Seriously, the only one i personally remember is the 2004-2007 edition. Nothing before and nothing after.

The characters who were in their first year at the school in the first year of show would now be about 56. Wrap your head around that.

This really remind me of MMX and MMZ, ZX series when the characters is tired.

I recognise all of these up to the 2001 version. The original one is the one I grew up with though, it's just one of those iconic things you remember. I remember the 88-89 credits as well but the original will never be bettered. Now I won't get the tune out of my head lol!!

1st one is the one i remember... especially the teacher zooming in on the student right at the end i remember the 3rd one but I was going off GH by then.

The 90's intros developed a 'Brookside at school" kind of vibe, I think. No coincidence, of course. Then it briefly became a bit Hollyoaks in the early 2000's. Again, the connection is obvious. And coincided with the fall of Brookside and the rise of Hollyoaks. Then it went back to its roots, firstly with the return to a more comic book style, albeit updated, and the welcome return of Sausage On A Fork. Before reverting to the old theme tune, when they knew it was to be the final series.

The original theme is iconic.

Quite an interesting reflection of the changes in societal attitudes that were starting to happen during the show's run. The early versions I think reflected the everyday reality of school life, with playground scraps and disciplinarian teachers, that most kids could probably relate to. Into the '90s there was a shift to a more progressive, idealistic tone with the kids actually - gasp - learning stuff! By the early 2000s they seem to have given up on all of that and spend the entire intro raving in some sort of drug addled haze... 🤷‍♂

i have been watching series/season 1 of the series on youtube recently and its decent for a first season.

I liked the 90s theme coz I was still at school after leaving in 4th year .

For me it's the 90s tune. I didn't even realise it was still running in the noughties, completely lost track of it and I don't like the graphics at this time

Never forgotten the Zamo 'just say no' campaign of 1987. Scared the 11 year old me so much I always steered clear of drugs. Should thank Grange Hill for that?

The original was the only good one. Theme tune and titles went downhill after that. A bit like the show itself. I watched the final episode when it was on,first time seeing it for years. Absolute rubbish,a pale shadow of the 70s,early 80s episodes.

Which cyberspace level was that one?
