Ever since they put the new meters thats when our bill went up from 125 to 500 and then we called and they said the numbers dont lie and nothing they can do and then the next month we got cooler weather and another 500 ive been in the buena area for 17 years and never seen my bill this high

Why weren't any Dems invited to this? Why was the dais all from outside the district and RED when there are plenty of Dems in other areas serviced by Exelon? This was a political show scheduled in time for election day. Van Drew did nothing any other representative would do. He's a weasel.

I’m so grateful for congress looking into this matter because it’s serious. I was just on the phone with ACE Monday trying to get an answer for why my bill is so high. I was paying another company and ACE. And no one ever signed up for another company added to my bill. I was threatened with a shut off notice even though I have 2 special needs children in my house. I recvd a shut off notice. I have continued to pay my bill but just a little less and my balance was 500 and they are shutting me off on oct 15th. 25 yrs in my house and never late or paid less than what is owed until now. And they only gave me a week notic for shut off. It's ridiculous

When my July bill had gone up by 45% I immediately stopped using my A/C and yet my August bill rose another 25%. It doesn't seem to me to be a problem with rate increases, delivery charge increases or even seasonal scaling pricing, but the actual readings by the new smart meters have not been accurate. The numbers appear to have been estimated based on various factors and are not lining up with my actual usage. Furthermore, usage comparisons to last year were again not reflecting reality as I used my A/C all last summer but stopped this year during the hottest month.

Thank you so much! My house is very small and I have no tvs , no computers, no radios. It's myself and my adult son and we are out of the house most of the time. My bill is always around 180.to 200 which I thought was a little high but in August my bill was 600 dollars!! I called ACE and they tried to say it was the hot weather. I told them I've been in my house for 26 years and have had much hotter summers and my bill was never that high. I'm so glad to have you working for the people of NJ Congressman Van Drew. I find it interesting that all of those tree hugging environmentalists who BLOCKED the natural gas pipeline to the BL England plant and got it shut down all cheered at their victory. And all the supporters they gathered from South Jersey to sign their petitions to block it are the very same ones who are now suffering from their very own actions! I can say I have had the new smart meter for over a year because ai faught for it due to higher bills a year ago. With that, my bills didnt go up until few months ago. Then my bill went $1005 ac on 72 and pool pump 8h, $714 after change ac to 76 and pool to 4h... Here is when it gets wild.. turned my pool breakers and ac breakers off... Literally off.. bill went $512... Nothing has changed and now I am told expected bill is $260!!!! Something is 100% wrong
