I'm not a hunter, but this is one nasty predator that I absolutely hate! Looks like you've got no shortage of them. I have no doubts that a pack of them would take on an unarmed man.

What’s your thoughts on Iray vs agm?
@yodeldogdown314111 ай бұрын
I like AGM a lot, but I do not think the image quality is as good as Iray. With that being said, AGM still has very good image quality.

I love your video's man. I have the XRF and there are a few things that I do not like. I was considering going to a TH50C. I was wondering if you could make a side by side with both scopes on the same color pallet?
@yodeldogdown3141 Жыл бұрын
We are currently working on it! We have not been able to make it out much this year and the weather has been terrible. Iray just came out with the hybrid 75W that rivals the XRF image as well!

Thanks for the video. Im newish to thermal hunting coyotes. Ive had NV since like 2015 pretty good scope actually u can see alot but when i got the thermal it changed everything but at the same time almost made things unrecognizable based off heat signature alone. My biggest issue was having never seen a heat signature before to know the characteristics of what im looking at is a coyote or a fox or a neighbors dog or even a big old racoon. I knew a oppossum no problem but thats not my target species... . So i was hesitant on pulling the trigger the first couple times i went out with it. Actually the last time i used it i had a coyote behind the house and i saw how big its ears were on thermal and it made me think it was a cat going for mice in the field but after watching your video and others like it i got a pretty good visual of what i need to be looking for and it was a coyote maybe a small one but a coyote none the less Did you shoot a couple fox in the video as well. One u shot real quick then the next clip was one coming from your rightside out of a trench over a bit of a rise. To me they looked like fox but im still learning obviously. Just wanted to ask so i know cause honestly i dont mind the foxes on my farm at all its only the coyotes i care about ridding from my property. But they def appeared to have tails twoce as long as the other coyotes u sjot.
@yodeldogdown3141 Жыл бұрын
There were no fox killed in this video, all coyotes. What scope do you have? The best advice for positive ID is to get time behind your scope but to go with someone else who has experience. Hope this helps!

So what yardage our they. I just pushed to 1460 in aco.pititoin shoot. Really passed a bunch of people off with a gas gun and they all had bolt guns. Lit of new stuff coming down the pipe. Better stay focused on the gas guys with this one.

@@yodeldogdown3141 Was talking to a guy today that owns both as well. He said iray does a better job with keeping the recording closer to the quality of what you’re seeing which makes sense because on video I can’t see why anyone would spend $3500 more and I still don’t think there’s enough difference to pay that much extra.
@yodeldogdown3141 Жыл бұрын
The range finder on the halo is really nice as well and when you zoom you don’t lose much image.

I love the Valkary. It got a bad wrap out of the gate but ive had really good results with mine. Very accurate, no problem shooting suppressed, i haven't lost an animal yet. I shoot 88 grain mach ammo out of mine. Multiple Ciyotes, piggs and one bobcat so far and all wear within 10 yards of wear i shot them.
@yodeldogdown3141 Жыл бұрын
The valkyrie puts the hurtin on the coyotes! The only thing bad about it is the longer shots around 400 plus yards, doesnt have quite enough knock down power but still kills them with good shot placement! I shoot the 60gr noslers or vmax.
@lancecockerell4345 Жыл бұрын
@yodeldogdown3141. I have some 60 grain v maxes but have not shot any except the initial set up when experimenting. I have ran some 75 grain bthp with good results. Also have not had the opportunity to shoot a coyote past 300 yards but have hit 10 in steal plates at 500. I just wast ammo anything past that. Mine has an 18 inch barrel.

Don't be fooled by all the slick adverts on this cheap stuff. Failed everything I graded it on. Like wishy washy customer service. Lack of visibility for cross hairs on fast pickup. Not able to couple to my full size scope... Yes I reviewed their best according to a vet in customer service. But he never lied to kudos. A waste of money if doubling for self defence

So many gave up on that 224 Val . How come you are sticking with it?
@yodeldogdown3141 Жыл бұрын
I hardly ever have them get up on me and most of the time they drop or spin after a heart shot. It is very accurate and fun to shoot. However I am going to build a 243 AR soon for the longer shots and greater knock down power.

When you zeroed your optic the crosshair stays off center? Also what distance did you zero it at? Thank you.
@yodeldogdown3141 Жыл бұрын
Yes, the screen is digital so when you move the crosshairs for your zero, it moves on the screen. Most of the time your don’t notice it because you don’t have to make big changes for your zero (if mounted correctly). I always zero at 100 yards and typically like to hit 1” to 2” high for the longer shots.

Have to adjust the setup so I’m not blowing out my partners ear drum or shooting behind him. Majority of the coyotes that spin/ run are heart shot and don’t go more than 20 yards.

Sold my HaloLR and bought a iray both th50c. Brought to work the other night with me to see how it would do in 98% humidity and fog, the halo really struggled in the fog. To my surprise, the bolt cut right through the fog with no problem, still very clear. Mounting it this weekend and taking it out on it's first hunt. Really like the scope. In low humidity this scope is awesome, and I really like the traditional scope frame.

Iray sensors have the best clarity in inclement weather in my opinion!
@dougmercer80872 жыл бұрын
If you have the money, which is the clearest? As mention above, compare both in either white or black hot. This video the bolt looks better than the $9500 halo. Or is it just the video that makes the bolt look better?
@yodeldogdown31412 жыл бұрын
The halo is much more clear than the bolt. When we export the video off the halo it loses a lot more image quality than the bolt!

@yodeldogdown31412 жыл бұрын
If you are not wanting to spend the money for the XRF, I believe the bolt Th50C is the best thermal under $7000. But if you want a range finder, the Rico mk1 with a range finder is a very good option. The functionality of both scopes are very easy to use.
