Love my 2022 9.8 . I replaced the handlebar with an 80mm rise Deity bar . I kept the SE4 rear tire and put an SE6 up front ( far better handling now ). I mounted a large bottle cage on a spare trap door and put a small Hydraflask thermo vacuum bottle in it ( I had to remove the handle strap from the bottle ) now I have cold sports drink in Louisiana heat .
@averageoutdoorjoe5 күн бұрын
@@vieuxacadian9455 sounds like you’ve decked it out! I never rode the stock wheels or tires. I had my we are one carbon wheels and they are wrapped with Maxxis assegi and a dhf in the rear. My next set of tires will be the kryptotals though.

How does it stack up in the power department compared to your old Mtn Max with the agility turbo? Been thinking of getting rid of mine as I don’t seem to care for the alpha rail.
@averageoutdoorjoe13 күн бұрын
Power is different for sure but in a good way. It doesn’t have the punch of the aftermarket turbo but it’s more linear and gets you anywhere you want to go. I miss the alpha track on deep days but like the pull and go of a stock turbo. Before you give up on the alpha rail I would look into the 4 wheel kit. Changed mine for the better.

I love the slash. I bought the slash 7 gen 5 and loved it sooooooo much, I’m returning it (it’s close, but I’m within the 30 days) and I bought the 9.8 GX AXS radio active - I had to (of course) pay extra - but I know it will be well worth it! I’m not a spring chicken (age wise) and the travel on the Slash 7 has been a lifesaver for me - overkill on some of the trails? Sure, but man, it has been smooth as butter going over stumps and rocks and I know this 9.8 will be miles better! And at 5k I couldn’t resist the discount. Thanks for sharing!!

Love the bike. The suspension eats up everything and it climbs way better than it should with how much travel it has. Only upgrade I want is the new sram transmission drivetrain.
