Good reading. I appreciate the optimism. But after a lifetime of misery punctuated with small moments of happiness, I've learned to accept mundane. I'm almost 50 years old and I know that there is never going to be any true joy in my life. I'm married to a man who loves me very much. We've built what most people would consider how wonderful life. It is for the most part. Sometimes too much hurt will spill over and spoil happiness. Unfortunately that's my scenario. I spent decades of healing my trauma. I accept it, I forgive it, I've learned from it, it's empowered me in many ways, but I also know that I'll never be happy. At this age I just wait it out.
