I never knew anything about having Scandinavian ancestry until I did my DNA/Ancestry test. Thing is, it said nothing of English/Anglo-Saxon, but I figured out a good deal of my mother's father's mother's side were all from around Yorkshire, esp. Leeds. Made sense, since it was part of the Danelaw.

it's probably crap , well I ask for GARFORTH GOLF CLUB, THEN HOLE BY HOLE AND THERE IS NO SUCH THING, GOLF IS A TIMED GAME LIKE 3 MINUTES TO FIND YOUR BALL , BUT A ROUND THAT SHOULD TAKE NO LONGER THAN 3 AND A QUARTER HOURS IS GOING TO TAKE LONGER BECAUSE, I DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO GO , WHAT I HAVE TO BE AWARE OF , SO I COULD LOSE 10 BALLS LOSE THE GAME AND GET LOST , HAVE AN ARGUMENT WITH OTHER GOLFERS. TO BE BLUNT WHY WOULD I WANT TO PLAY THERE .

*Bradford* the... *6th biggest City in the UK by population* - *542,128* to be exact. *7th Biggest City in the UK by area* - *141.47 square miles* (366.41 square kilometres) to be exact. UK's Fourth *City of Culture.* World's First *UNESCO City of Film.* Seven time *Curry Capital of Britain* Winners. Birthplace and home of the *Bronte Sisters.* Former *Wool Capital of the World.* Unofficial *Tea Capital* - Birthplace of *Tetley Tea* founders, residence of *Betty's Tea* founder, location of 2nd ever *Betty's Tea Room,* and location of 2nd ever *Taylor's Tea Room.* People ignore *Bradford* city centre, yet it's just as "lovely" as other towns and cities if people just opened their eyes. There's at least 50 mainstream films and TV shows which have filmed in the city centre in the last 5 years alone because of all the great buildings we have. Yes there's some ugly concrete buildings from the 60's scattered around but the rest are quality. People are constantly saying places like *Keighley, Shipley, Bingley, Ilkley, Haworth, Silsden, Denholme* etc are *"Near Bradford"* when all of them are in fact *"In Bradford".* The shopping experience isn't any different to *Leeds.* We have all the big brand shops they do apart from the rip-off merchants you find in the arcades selling things like handbags for hundreds or thousands of pounds like Vivienne Westwood. You can find almost everything you'll ever need in *Kirkgate, Forster Square* and *The Broadway.* There's at least 5 different cinemas in the city centre which includes the *IMAX, Pictureville, Cubby Broccoli, Cineworld* and *The Light.* There's also the *Odeon* 3 miles up the road. Two of the best large theatres in the country in the *Alhambra Theatre* and *St George's Hall,* as well as the *Bradford Playhouse.* There's bowling, casino's, bingo, ice skating, escape room games, lazer gun games, and even inflatable theme park in the city centre. Plus go karting is only a mile away from *City Hall.* There's bars and shops in the underground *Sunbridge Wells.* There's more bars on North Parade aka the *Independent Quarter.* There's more bars and nightclubs in and around *Morley Street.* Plus more bars scattered across the city centre. However there's nowhere near as many nightclubs as there used to be as all the best ones were bought by a *Manchester* born, and *Manchester/Newcastle/Watford* based businessman, who has ruined and closed most of the *Yorkshire* nightclubs that's he's bought, which has caused a domino effect. There's *The Peace Museum, The Police Museum, The Colour Experience Museum* and the *National Science and Media Museum* in the city centre. Plus other museums like *Bolling Hall, Cartwright Hall* and *The Industrial Museum* within a couple of miles. There's around 6 mini art galleries in the city centre. There's the best *Waterstones* book shop in the country at the old *Wool Exchange* in the city centre. There's the *Cathedral* and the surrounding heritage site of *Little Germany* in the city centre. There's *City Hall* which has appeared in at least 50 films and TV shows alone. Most recently in things like *The Duke, Official Secrets, King Charles III, The ABC Murders, Victoria, The Windsors, Ackley Bridge, Emmerdale* and *Peaky Blinders.* They do tours occasionally. Other recent productions which have filmed near to *City Hall* in the city centre include: *Downton Abbey, Commando 3, Wasteland, Gold, Polterheist, Lies We Tell, Funny Cow, 1920: London, Welcome to Karachi, Testament of Youth, Hank Zipzer's Christmas Catastrophe, Get Santa, The Selfish Giant, The Damned United, 1920, White Girl, The Crown, All Creatures Great and Small, Gentleman Jack, The English Game, Girlfriends, Gunpowder, The Moorside, DCI Banks, National Treasure, Residue, Utopia, The Great Train Robbery, Room at the Top, A Passionate Woman, The Red Riding Trilogy, Spooks: Code 9* etc. And we have a wide range of restaurants to choose from in various cuisines, although Indian is obviously the dominant one. We are the 7 time record winners of the *Curry Capital of Britain* after all. People always go for the better looking restaurants up Leeds Road, but nothing will ever beat the original and the oldest restaurant *The Kashmir* imo, which is again in the city centre. If you get bored of the city centre then there's many more places *in Bradford* to visit like: 1 - The *Bronte Parsonage Museum,* *Timothy Taylors,* and the *Black Bull* in *Haworth.* 2 - *Parkwood Off Road Centre* in *Tong.* 3 - *Salts Mill,* *Saltaire Brewery* and *Robert's Park* in *Saltaire.* 4 - *Bracken Hall* in *Baildon.* 5 - *Undercliffe Cemetery* and *Peel Park* in Undercliffe, 6 - The *Cow and Calf* rocks, *Betty's Tea Room,* the *Toy Museum,* *Manor House Museum,* *Kings Hall and Winter Gardens,* *Ilkley Cinema* and *Ilkley Lido* in *Ilkley.* 7 - *Doe Park Reservoir* in *Denholme.* 8 - *St Ives Estate,* and the *Five Rise Locks* in *Bingley.* 9 - The original *Emmerdale* village in *Esholt.* 10 - *Cliffe Castle Museum,* *East Riddlesden Hall,* *Carriage Works Museum,* the *Engine Shed Museum,* and the *Keighley and Worth Valley Railway* in *Keighley,* among many many more places to visit. Yet the *City of Bradford* is still missing from most film, tourism and map related websites.
