great to see this video clip. We are fortunate enough to live at 808, which gives us a close-up view of these herons from our garden/patio/bedroom / lounge. Yes, they can make a bit of noise early in the morning, but that's great 🙂

I was born and raised in Maseru, Lesotho. But I’m a US citizen now and I have lived here since 1998. I absolutely love this place. I discovered this place by a sheer stroke of luck. Sir Trevor Macdonald did some documentary on South Africa on KZbin and I watched the whole thing and Val de Vie was featured in that documentary, and I was hooked instantly.

Can you relocate downed pine trees from other parts of the estate to the biocoridor? There is a huge uprooted tree behind Polo Offices on one of the empty plots.
