The mlb and tv people want dogers and yanks world series. If they get it this year they will shut up about the playoff structure. Money thats the talking point. Viewers during world series aint good so they think there dream matchup will fix that.

Great show guys, thank you !! Arte ??? We all deserve an Angels playoff season but we've got to keep the rebuild going. Arte has stated that we're not spending big money this off season. Trades and mid level free agents who will produce are probably the route the Angels will go. Even if 2025 is another development year, hoping for 75 wins or so isn't too overly optimistic. It all depends on some good luck for once with health and players playing like their capable. July 2025 we should do very well in the amateur draft, with a top 3 pick. Building up the farm system is what's most important. Patience will be needed but it will pay off. 2 last ideas, I'm guessing but maybe Arte has grown tired of wasting $$$ on free agent failures and finally,finally woken up to the fact that a strong farm system = strong organization= winning ballclub. Last add, I totally agree with you both about how analytics works over 162 games but not in a playoff 5 to 7 games. Take care Go Angels !!!!

Arte’s spending has been the problem sometimes. With not signing Ohtani seems he has learned from past mistakes. But by not spending now that he has a semi core is worse. He kinda keeping his team in limbo

Orange county socal Fullas I agree with Nate. Arte has tried to put a winning team together. Has it worked? Yes 2014. However the decisions made to get us there put the angels in a bind the following years. Also players not playing to expectations and more bad decision making has continued the free fall to the bottom. To put all the blame on Arte is a total cop-out.

I respectfully disagree. Moreno has not tried everything to put together a winning team. Moreno only wants to run his franchise one way and one way only. That is spend money only on the Major League field and no where else. In his 20 years of ownership, Moreno’s MO is to over pay on contracts to over the hill players, because he places a greater importance on increasing ticket sales then actually winning games. The flaw in your argument is believing the first ten years of success is attributed to Moreno and his approval to spend money. The real credit of those first ten years belongs to Stoneman/Reagen, for building up a farm system and signing strategic free agents where need could not be provided internally. In his first year as owner, the signing of Guerrero, Guillen, Colon, Escobar, worked because Salmon, Estrad, Washburn, Ortiz were all on the decline. Other smart signings include Hunter, Bird, Smith. Those early signing worked because Stoneman/Reagen knew what they were doing. After Reagen quit over the Vernon Wells trade, the Angels have not made a smart free agent signing since. The last playoff appearance in 2014 was the last hoorah of a once decent farm system. 2014 was the high watermark of an owner who pushed out real baseball minds, gutted scouting, diminished the importance of player development, ignored innovative technology, just plainly neglected the farm system. All your other points are flawed. Every ML team has to contend with injuries, players with bad years, bad trades, bad free agent signs. The best run organization over come all of that by building up all parts of their organization and that includes fielding the best 26 man MLB roster, then fielding the best 40 man roster and at least 5 prospects in the top one hundred that could be potentially added to the 40 man roster later. And the players are supported by good coaches, scouts, trainers and have all the resources they need to stay fit and healthy. For the past ten years, articles after articles have documented the collapse, neglect and lack of investment by Moreno that was built up by Stoneman/Reagen. If Moreno really wanted to win, stop handing out over priced contracts to in decline marquee players and start investing internally.

Last 4 months of the season, the Mets were 10 games better than the Phillies. They are just the better team now than the Phillies. I would say the same thing with the Padres if they win. They beat the Dodgers in the season series and they finished the season on a much better role than the Dodgers so I think if the Padres win, they are the better team. Yanks won but KC is not that great of a team if Hunter Renfroe is playing for you.

Moreno is MLB’s version of a slumlord owner. He will only put up money at the major leagues level (overpriced players) but never any where else (scouting, player development, technology, minor league system) The slumlord analogy is that slumlord spend their money on the exterior of the building to attrach tenants but never the interior. He won’t even spend money on improving the stadium. He is waiting to get out of the Anaheim lease so he can move the franchise somewhere else. Moreno only cares about making money. If making money and losing works he will do that. If Moreno made no money but has a championship caliber team, he won’t do it because he believes the only way to win and make money is to spend money on players at the major league level that will bring up attendance. He doesn’t believe in the philosophy that you can still make money with a championship caliber players but no over priced superstars.

I have never seen Nate be the beacon of hope on this channel. LFG! It will actually be easier to make up 20 wins than you think. You’re factoring in only positive WAR players. If you also eliminate the -WAR players like drury and all the other duds on the roster it levels out. If you can’t go get burnes or Soto then go get yourself a satander or O’Neil along with several new starters including fried or Zack wheeler.

I got a feeling PM is going to make some moves spending and trading and make this team better for 25season. The angels are a way better hitting when Rendon is in the line up. We are rebuilding and 25season year goals dont finish in last place at the west and more than 80 wins LETS GO ANGELS 😇

It’s so strange the Angels lost so much.. According to you guys, there was a Diva in the team who robbed the spot light off the REAL star of the team, clogged the DH position and totally screwed up the rotation.. All should be fixed now, that he left …it just shows blaming an innocent player, who by the way gave the longest career days in MLB, without getting to the play offs and twice his arm, for the loss of his team by people like you calling yourself Angels fans is the bitter aftertaste of meaningless hate only. What a life, guys!

Angels fans need to understand that as long as Artie is there, we are going nowhere! We could’ve gotten a boatload of pics for a trade of Ohtani. He couldn’t even pull that trigger. With all the crap that he was in with the Anaheim Mayor situation, he is the poster boy for what a crappy owner is. We haven’t had good pitching rotation since 2002. Maybe we should move to Vegas also!

Thank you guys !! Great show !! Happy to have you back. Angels off season, basically we need to solidify the starting pitching and add at least 1 more bat. Trout to DH next season with occasional LF. Hoping Christian Moore is ready in spring training for 2B. Making sure his knee is ok, he's got an impact bat, hope he's ready, give him an opportunity. Rendon who knows ??? No longer dependable. Keep the rebuild going, hope for 75-78 wins in 2025 and with some luck make a wildcard run in 2026 or 2027. Go Angels !!!!

If I’m Perry I’m spending money on guys with no QO. Can’t afford to give up a 2nd round pick that will be that high. Unless you’re getting burnes or Soto, go grab a bunch of 2 WAR fa. That would drastically turn the team around and quickly. I’m going after Tyler O’Neil or satander, maybe a tanner scott. Bring back Estevez. Flatery or freid if no qo.

What makes everyone believe that arte will have a change of heart and do something about his team. Their whole point is HOPING that we strike some luck and get a good GM. It’s a poor argument and flat out boring. We have young talent and still get more talent. Yes we shit but the angels haven’t gotten past under the 20s in prospect rankings . Hating what’s happening but repeating the same cycle over and over again and expecting a different outcome is insanity.

Chris Young became a GM same time as Perry. Rangers won world series. Moves like Seager, Semien, Scherzer helped. We havent made moves like that. Perry has been decent in draft, not good in free agency. Like Jared said if we get a new GM we will be starting over and push window out further. Either way it wont change until Arte moves on.
