Heroes administer cure to themselves. Coaxes Charles to drink their blood. Drinking their blood cures Charles. Another person sacrifices himself so that other vampires will feast on him. Once they’re cured. Other blood starved vampires feed on them and so on. Blood bath barely describes the carnage that ensues. At the end, there are a few new former vampires standing. But one vampire doesn’t want the cure to be spread/known. He shoots them. Leaving the heroes to walk away.

I feel that Anne Rice was actually insightful and correct because once youve lived so much life, sexuality becomes irrelevant. Sexuality is very fluid and we may create heteronormative rules in society, as an immortal being you are no longer bound to these rules. So many people are more fluid than they realize but will never allow themselves to explore these desires because they will be judged or worse, punished.

Sappy writing in my opinion about most of the series. Crossing into the Mayfair world and the high/low moods of Lastat and other characters. Many of the vampires seem whimpy and whiney. Actually Caine from WoD is probably around 250,000 years old. He is the firstborn son of Adam and Eve. The 4th Human being to ever exist ( Adam was the first, Lilith the second, Eve the third ). Caine is MUCH older than the 3rd Generation Vampires AKA The Antediluvians. In the Book of Nod ( basically the Vampire Bible ) it is stated that Caine wandered the earth for thousands of years, all alone, until one day he learned how to turn others into Vampires ( which implies that Caine either had to use some form of magic or a magic ritual to create/sire the 2nd generation or it's possible that God had originally cast some kind of a curse on Caine which made Caine unable to sire other Vampires, but Caine found a way to somehow break the curse ). This would explain why there is such a huge age gap between Caine and the 2nd and the 3rd generation Vampires.
